"Dr. Adjekum is the best pediatrician for my two boys. They were both NICU babies and have been cared for by most pediatricians as they do NICU rotations. Both of my boys have allergies, one has Eczema. With our experience, Dr. Adjekum is comparable to a "pediatric internal medicine" doctor. If any testing needs to be done she sends you to the appropriate provider. After doing so, she never fails to follow up with results. She treats my kids the same as she would her children. She is loving, caring, compassionate, empathetic, direct, and speaks to her patients on their level, age-appropriate. In doing so, my boys feel safe with her. She has a beautiful way of connecting and forming a trusting bond with her patients. No matter your thoughts and/or opinions as a parent, she speaks to parents in a way a child understands. It is as though she is on their side and has their best interest at heart. l can call with any questions. No matter how large or small, she has never failed to respond promptly. Many times, as a parent, we seek advice. Many doctors won't give opinions, or tell you how they would handle things. Dr. Adjekum is not one of those doctors. She treats parents as friends, sometimes I feel she respectively treats us all like family. As they got into elementary school we noticed signs of mental health, primarily ADD and ADHD. At that time parents would overreact when their kids were being kids, wild, loud, rambunctious, etc... In turn, doctors would unnecessarily medicate healthy children. I asked Dr. Adjekum for her advice/opinions if it were her children. She gave me the best advice, "If you see them struggling with education, or having trouble with relationships with friends we can look further into it.". Rather than putting a bandaid on something, she finds the root of the problem first. More importantly, she makes sure parents are involved enough in their children's lives to recognize behaviors. In turn, she helps you bond and build better relationships with your kids. My boys are now mid-teens. As males, I wondered how comfortable they would be having physicals performed by a female doctor. They have me leave the room while she does the exam. That is the level of comfort and trust she has with her patients. Her support has helped me raise my boys. I feel blessed to have her help and direct our family in the right direction. Most of all, I love her caring and compassionate follow-ups, checking on us, making sure everything has worked out. She goes above and beyond in the most caring way possible."
