"3 summer later we still love our pool. With many choices of who to choose for our pool, it was a hard choice be we are very happy with the end result. To our satisfaction, some things that initially were nit what we expected, they worked hard to fix and did so. The equipment and design, with many custom requests have turned out great. Our pool stays clean, quickly heats up when needed, and has been a delightful addition to our home. With the complexities involved with such a project, they always delivered what I needed. I still continue to get support and answers when I reach out to them. I would choose them again to do another pool."

"Premier is a disaster. I will not ever use them again. Every step taken on my pool build was a series of mistakes, excuses and broken promises. We signed our contract with Premier in November of 2022, as of today I still have 1 small item left and I can not get them to complete it or respond to me. We have ended up with a beautiful pool that seems to be functioning correctly so far. The pool looks just like the design we created. The Negatives: -Excavators dug the auto cover box on the wrong end of the pool -Incorrect amount of tile was ordered, causing a delay. - Day before our pebble was to be installed, we were advised the color pebble we picked was discontinued. Also due to Premier owing the pebble company money, I had to pay the sub upfront. - Auto Cover: Was told it was paid for & set to be installed multiple times, not true. I had to track down the cover company & was told that Premier owed them money so I had to pay for it if I wanted it installed. - Managing this project was a part-time job for me. I had to coordinate with subs, pay subs/vendors directly, hound them about outstanding tasks and following up on things. The biggest issue is they did not put a drain in my auto cover box. They stuck a 3" pipe in the side wall but when I touched it, it fell out in my hand. It was only 12" long & went nowhere. They lied & said it "acted like a french drain" I demanded they dig up a section of my landscaping & put in a proper drain. It took weeks but they did complete that. Advice: -DO NOT PAY THEM IN FULL until job is 100% done. I was asked for final payment once pebble went in but there were many things not completed so I refused. The money I paid Premier wasn’t used only for my job, which is why subcontractors were coming to me asking for payment."

"*New update: Although our pool cover not the pool cover box has been installed and completed not have we gotten our money back for those items, we did have a good conversation with Rich about our project and the current status of Premier Pools and Spas of St. George. It has been a dire financial situation for them for a couple years and it seems as though things are turning around bc of them having to be more efficient and honest in their dealings or they would have been forced to close by the state investigators. We are hopeful they will have our pool completely finished by the spring. We really do love our pool and how beautiful it is and we are thankful to have it. *UPDATED: Unfortunately I am needing to update my review (original you can see below) due to many factors. We paid in full back in May 2023 with the agreement that everything will be done in a timely manner but no rush on getting our pool cover until October since I knew there were a lot of other items Rich and his team were trying to complete but were behind on… so with that patience and trust he took advantage of me and my family by taking the $14k I paid him to finish the pool cover and pool cover box and used it for other people’s projects. He took that money and Ive contacted many times via phone and text and he always says they are working on it and there are delays or finding issues and to give him a couple weeks to figure it out… unfortunately it’s been MONTHS and we still have no pool cover and or pool cover box. I called the pool cover company (Cover Safe) and they said they completed the pool cover in December 2022 so it’s just sitting in their warehouse waiting for the deposit to release it to Premier… we love our pool but it’s been a huge challenge to get them to honor their contract and finish the pool they are contractually obligated to finish. ORIGINAL: I am super happy with my pool and the experience with Rich (the owner) and Mike (our salesman) and others at Premier. I commute regularly to CA for my business (I save and relocate honeybees and unfortunately there’s not a lot of bee activity in the desert) so they were super accommodating with my timeline to come in and get the pool built. Things didn’t go perfectly but if I had to do it all over again I would 100% choose Premier every time. Rich is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and wants to improve and fix things that may not have gone according to plan bc of unexpected circumstances (as it is with most construction projects) so with a little patience and understanding on my end I am genuinely very happy and would recommend this company to anyone (which I already have)."

"We’ve gone 5 months past our deadline. They go months without talking to us about our pool. They’ve screened our calls and will not communicate. We have been told they are out of money and have used our money to pay for other projects they are behind on. We’ve paid them almost all (shy $4000) Which is due at final phase and yet they can’t get the equipment necessary to finish the job. We basically have a glorified swamp in our backyard."

"I have hesitated writing a review for Premier Pools & Spas of St George mostly because it’s been a roller coaster of thoughts, emotions, and outcomes over the last 14 months. Although I have personally heard and seen absolute horror stories about other Premier projects, I will write this review based on my own personal experience in an effort to be as honest and transparent as possible. We signed our contract with Premier in July of 2022. We are officially done with every finishing touch as of today (10/10/23), but we have been swimming since July of 2023. All in, we were about a year from signing a contract to having a swimmable pool and will probably be about 9 months of total construction time once all was said and done. The Good: - We have ended up with a beautiful pool that seems to be functioning correctly so far. - Things turned out exactly how we expected based on the designs and plans. In essence, we ended up with what we hoped for. - Vinny Pilling. Absolute rockstar of an employee at Premier who had a great attention to detail and was able to get jobs done and done right. He fixed a lot of mistakes early on that could have been big problems further into construction. He was prompt, communicated well, and made me feel like my project was a priority. - Jeff Erickson. Jeff is a subcontractor for Premier and he is the man who actually got our pool done. We will forever be grateful to Jeff. Canyon View Contracting is his company. - Kim, our project manager, who has put more heart and effort into her job than most people out there. The Bad: - Our pool plans called for pre-cast white coping pavers. We were given some grungy pavers that had been sitting on Premier’s storage lot for who knows how long. They aren’t white. Several of them are damaged and stained, and they didn’t have enough of them to finish the job, so the final 10-12 that they ordered new are very white and don’t match at all. - Timeline was longer than promised. The Ugly: - I had to really manage this project for it to get done at all. Getting this pool done has been a part-time job for me for the last several months. Whether it’s coordinating with subs, paying subs and vendors directly, tracking outstanding tasks and dependencies, following up on things, and even doing physical work myself, the work was constant and I believe it’s the only reason I got done as quickly as I did. - The money I paid Premier wasn’t used only for my job, which has left subcontractors unpaid and coming to me asking for payment. This is the absolute worst part of all of this, however in the end, all is well and I don’t have any liens or anything like that to deal with. Takeaways and Advice: - It seems that Premier has sorted a lot of things out and new pool builds are going smoother, but I would do your research. Ask them to introduce you to several of their customers who are still in the construction process and find out how those projects are going. - There are lots of old customers who are stuck in a bad spot from when the company wasn’t operating properly who have pools that aren’t finished up to 2+ years into construction. Be aware of this and make sure there is a plan for you to not end up in this situation. - Don’t be afraid to ask for additional terms in your contract. I’m not sure they will allow it, but ask for dates and timelines. Don’t pay in advance of the payment schedule, and make sure you haven’t paid too much ahead in case you need to pay someone else to finish the job. -------------- Quality of finished product: 5 Timeliness: 3 Integrity: 3 Communication: 5 Overall rating (average of above): 4 ---------------"
