"When I first came in I felt so welcomed by Adriana and the rest of the staff. She was professional and polite and showed me the place. The unit was beautiful and I love being here."
"When I first moved to Stonybrook Apartments in early 2023, the complex was decent for the price and amenities. However, over time, the complex, grounds, and security measures greatly decayed. I do think the management and maintenance is doing the best they can to help residents, but I think it's just so run down and don't have a big enough budget to address the things that go wrong and enough people to address everything that goes wrong (just my opinion). Areas for Improvement: -the place does have a bug problem, which wasn't addressed in my experience when I asked for my unit to be sprayed -the grounds are littered with pet excrement which is hard to control, but does take away from quality of life -pet trash cans were rarely emptied -many adult residents are noisy, messy, careless with their behavior, and cops are there quite frequently. I think it'd be great if there was a way residents can call security to report noise complaints so that we aren't needing to call police into the complex, but is also a way to hold those accountable who are disturbing the peace. -the security gate broke very quickly into my time there so I was essentially marketed (and paid) for an amenity that was nonexistent -laundry rooms were frequently locked at early hours with little to no communication from management due to unsheltered people taking refuge in the laundry rooms -when I'd walk in the morning, I would see apartments that were broken into (windows shattered) -the pools were closed quite frequently, again an amenity you are marketed and are paying for -complex has an Amazon package pirate running around stealing packages, so it'd be great if they got a lockerbox for residents -I like that they hired security for the night time, however, after the first few weeks of them being hired I rarely saw them out and about Things I enjoyed: -for emergency maintenance issues, they address them extremely quickly. My AC went out mid summer and they had it fixed within 45 minutes! -all of the members in the front office that I ever talked with answer questions honestly when you have them and will help you if you have a good attitude -parking isn't a problem -has bigger grass areas for your pet in the summertime than other apartments at a similar price point Overall, I would say it's an okay place to stay on a short term basis, but I wouldn't consider living here long term. The build up of areas of improvement will wear on your stress levels."
"This is my first apartment in Arizona and it is the worst experience I ever had. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The leasing office doesn’t give clear communication about things. They charge all these crazy fees that they don’t even know what they are about. Complex alway smells like dog and cat poop and pee all the time. The tenants don’t pick up after their animals. It is not fair to the tenants who don’t have animals and have to smell and see that every time walking outside. Pool is always chained up for long periods of time to where nobody can use it. There was a homeless person in my balcony. The entry gate is always open to where homeless ppl can walk in the complex. The leasing office say they have Security. Where is the security at? I always find them sitting in their car by the entry of the complex. How can anyone feel safe if security just sitting in the car. Apartments have roaches and they never send anyone out to spray. They’re always weed lingering in the apartments that come from the vent and walls. In the middle of the night random people keep on knocking on the balcony door. This is not a safe place to live. Please do not move here."
"My husband and i have been living here for a few months now. This is the first apartment I have ever lived in. Hopefully these pros and cons help you with your decision when finding a place to live. Pros: - Relatively quiet complex - The large wall at the back blocks out any noise from the freeway - neighborhood is kept clean - maintenance answers relatively quickly and is easy to get ahold of - management keeps us updated with events they’re hosting or when there is a project going on - On-site laundry isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I like the app they use where you can see how many washers and dryers are occupied before you take your laundry over there. Cons: - Front gate isn't always working. - Lots of homeless people in the surrounding area. - Our AC started leaking when we firsf moved in, but the maintenance guys were quick to answer and fix the problem, which we really appreciated! - Weed/smoke smell is lingering from previous residents. We understand it’s hard to get rid of when it becomes infused in the walls and flooring, but it still sucks and has really been affecting my asthma due to poor ventilation and filtration. - There's a gray-ish musk that's attaching to some of our clothes, blankets, and even some of our dishes and microwave. I'm not sure if it's because the apartment seems poorly filtered or not. I've never experienced it before so I'm not sure what it is. - Barely any counter space and storage space in the kitchen. - The laundry and gym facilities are technically open 24/7, but if you want to use the gym after office hours you need to rent a key and put down a temporary fee. I’m not sure if the laundry facility is the same way, but I was doing laundry late at night once and when I went back to get my stuff from the dryer the door was locked. Not a huge deal but inconvenient. - the only bugs we’ve had a problem with are fruit flies / gnats, but we’ve been able to get rid of them for the most part. I've seen one or two cockroaches here and there but thankfully not as bad as other people have experienced. Overall it's fine for temporary living."
"Almost 6 weeks and they can’t fix the pool. Pool is closed for the summer. They fixed the color to make it blue so it’ll look “ clean ” but still contaminated water, the door is chained closed."
