"The only reason I'm giving this place a one-star is because of the one nurse who was working in the front who was trying his best to help us. First off, my mother needed care and we were initially seen we waited 9 hours before we called it quits to go to a different emergency room. 9 hours! With little to no updates as to why we waited that long. Also, the PA who initially saw my mother had HORRIBLE bedside manners to both myself and my mother. Would not recommend coming here- I would rather take the drive to an emergency room farther away like Spring Valley or Summerlin. Side note- the waiting room felt crowded with no space to walk/sit without feeling like someone is going to cough on you. They also didn't have any trashcans in the waiting room. Don't waste almost 10 hours like we did."

"I broke my leg on Friday hiking in Nevada and was brought to this hospital and had surgery on Saturday. The care I received from the ER, Ortho, the doctors, nurses, and aides was exceptional. CNA Lidiya and Nurse Russel really went above and beyond with my care. The bed was very comfortable, the food was good, and I really have no complaints."

"The doctor was thorough and the medical assistant was rough around the edges. I've taken my son to this hospital twice since the ones closest to our house are awful in Arizona. I didn't receive a bill the first time and everything was billed correctly. The second time their billing department hasn't submitted a claim to his insurance until I spoke to 4 representatives and a supervisor. Now instead of owing around $400, I owe $700+ and they STILL HAVENT SUBMITTED A CLAIM TO THE CORRECT INSURANCE!!! Not only the correct insurance, but they didn't ask to verify the correct insurance address either. I've gotten 7 bills now and they call AND text me repeatedly saying there's a balance due. Monica in their billing department takes great joy in not being an effective listener and not doing her job at all actually. After speaking with Christina, a supervisor, is when I received a bill for nearly double the amount. This was the last bill they were notifying me with before sending me to collections!!! This is medical harassment!! DO YOUR JOB AND QUIT HARASSING PATIENTS!! I'm sure I'm not the only one thats frustrated with their lack of professionalism and ethics. Would never go to this hospital again after dealing with this minor issue that could've been easily solved."

"My 29 yr old daughter had a major surgery on her elbow. She was scared and had a few anxiety attacks after the surgery. Her surgeon, Dr Romero and his colleagues were phenomenal. He did what seemed like the impossible and he did it with care and confidence. Nurse Amy was the absolute best! If my daughter was in pain after coming off her nerve blocker(she had a nerve blocker twice) in the middle of the night she immediately came to my daughter’s aid as soon she came on shift and made her feel more comfortable and relaxed. She was present, has a wonderful personality, and knows her job well. I honestly don’t know how my daughter would have made it through with her sanity intact if it weren’t for Nurse Amy! Nurse Melinda was also very helpful and made sure that my daughter was taken care of and Nurse Jennifer brought smiles and sunshine to the room every time she came in. If you ever get that three person combo you will be in for a treat! Did I mention that Nurse Amy is the best?! We looked forward to her coming on shift every single day of my daughter’s 3 day stay. My daughter was happy and taken care of during Nurse Amy’s entire shift! She was like family to us and obviously cared about our daughter’s wellbeing. Every aspect of my daughter’s care was great. They have a holistic team that taught my daughter how manage pain at home and an occupational therapist that made sure she would be able to function with the use of only one arm at home. She was prepared both mentally and physically by the time she was discharged and a week after surgery she is doing amazingly well at home. I can’t thank her team of nurses and her doctors enough. Thank you UMC!"
