SimonMed Imaging - Mesa Desert

"I scheduled the same Imaging request three times. The first time I scheduled it they did not have a technician available Who provided that service at that time. The second time it was scheduled was scheduled in the afternoon and I had not been told I needed to be fasting so then they rescheduled it a third time. The third time I was rescheduled I came in and after standing in line for 20 minutes they told me that they didn't have Internet available so that they were not providing services and couldn't even reschedule me this time. Don't know how this company is still in service. I ended up going to dignity they got me in same day got everything squared away very quickly we're very kind and helpful and didn't give me the runarounds. They're right around the corner from simonmed."

"Zero stars. I will never go to Simon Med again. I had to pay $400 for my ultrasound/mammogram, even though I know insurance covered it. They wouldn’t let me back there unless I paid their fee up front. They tried telling me that’s what my insurance quoted them. (After getting my explanation of benefits from my insurance, I was covered 100%.) I then had to go back to Simon Med for a biopsy. Again, I was told I had to pay over $900 or I couldn’t be seen. I asked them to just bill my insurance. They said no, I must pay it or pay half and go on a payment plan. I opted for the latter. After that explanation of benefits came from my insurance, they (my insurance) only charged me $50 co pay. So I am currently out over $800 out of pocket and on a payment plan their customer service can’t seem to get me off of, DESPITE my insurance saying I only owe $50. I am beyond frustrated and dealing with their customer service department to get my money back is just as frustrating as my 2 visits. Hang up calls, promises to call me back but don’t, etc. It’s too bad that they take advantage of you when you’re so vulnerable. It seems highly unethical and I’ve never experienced anything like it. I will never go back and discourage anyone from doing so. I will also tell my doctor’s office to stop sending people there. The actual doctors and health assistants I dealt with were lovely, but not worth the headache of their front desk, customer service, and my empty pockets."

"Front desk gals were incredibly rude. They argued with me about my benefits trying to get me to pay full amount up front. I know my benefits and told them, they said if I didn't pay I would have to reschedule. I told them of they called my insurance they would see my plan. I showed them online, they said not good enough, I called my insurance and played the automated stating my benefits, they said not good enough, they wouldn't call themselves but made me call and talk to a live person and get a reference number. I was late for my appointment, the girls were smirking and enjoying my frustration. I told my doctor who sent me. I will never go back to this location all because of office staff. The image tech however was friendly and nice. Good job for him."

"Dr. B and her assistant (ultra sound tech) were so efficient and gentle during the procedure. I was scared of course but they put my mind at ease. The whole thing was virtually painless. They were thorough and really cared about my recovery and well being. Very pleased with how it all transpired."
