Lacquer Nails & Spa Tempe

"I came in for a gel manicure (pink chrome) and ended up having to go back twice to get them fixed. (They are still bad) I have never had to go back to get my nails fixed before and it was super inconvenient to need to have 3 appointments in the same week. (Totally understand sometimes these things just happen. But the way I was treated is inexcusable) By the end of the last appointment I felt so embarrassed (as I was being observed by various nail techs, who would come and look at my nails, then discuss them amongst themselves whilst staring at me.) It was extremely rude and made me feel increasingly uncomfortable. By my 3rd visit, I was upset just wanted to get out. the finish of nails were shocking, uneven, bubbly, edges missed. Absolutely no where near the standard that I usually receive at Lacquer. The tech had asked me if I was happy with them, but it was clear, his request for this was to make a point that he had my confirmation before I left. I’d given up by this point and on the verge or tears due to the embarrassment of being talked about though-out both “fixing” appointments Whenever I’m in Arizona, Lacquer was my favorite place to go for my nails. But I do not feel comfortable to go back, and I’m genuinely gutted that I will now have to find a new place, as all my experiences up until now have been great. The clear conversations that were going on around me and the looks being passed to me brought me to tears. I wanted to feed this back so the nail techs perhaps could be more conscious and respectful to other clients in the future and not make them feel the way they made me feel."

"While I don't typically leave reviews, I wanted to share my recent experience. My sister and I visited for nail services, and while she had a wonderful time, my own experience fell a bit short. While her technician provided exceptional service, unfortunately, mine seemed a bit rushed. Despite expressing concerns about the shape of my nails, I explained they were a bit crooked. However, my concerns were dismissed when the technician asked if the shape was okay and continued without addressing the issue. As someone who experiences anxiety, it was difficult to voice my concerns, only to have them overlooked. This led to my nails ending up somewhat crooked and messy, and the rushed process also left them sore afterward. while it was not the worst nail experience I have had, it was not the best either."

"Came in with high hopes. Was in Tempe for 3 days and needed my nails done. Called, they got me in last minute. I checked in and the woman running the front desk (dark hair, glasses, tattoos) didn't even know what I had scheduled. They moved me around to 2 different nail techs, and in the middle of soaking my set off, decided it was time for my pedicure, that no one told the second tech, I had scheduled. I was told to start wiping my dip off while soaking by the tech. Asked for a manicure with my dip nails, didn't get it. Had to ask my tech to straighten out the filing he'd done as my whole left hand was filed completely uneven. My dip has already cracked, chipped and is lifting at the cuticle. Mind you this was on Friday 2/29/24, and I'm writing this on Wednesday. *see photos* Might sound trivial, but I asked for a glass of wine twice, and they completely spaced, until the last 5 minutes I was there. My pedicure was mediocre at best, later in the day saw that a couple of toenails weren't even cut down. I was charged $117 even though I saw multiple bundles on their menu. It took 2 hours and since I was running way behind, I didn't have time to give feedback. It was so chaotic I just got the heck out of there. We are in Tempe a couple times a year, but I will not be going back."

"Absolutely enjoyed my first experience here! My daughter, cousin and I all came in and first to say, we all love how our services turned out. I got a gel fill, my cousin got a full set with design and my daughter got a princess pedicure! They kept my daughter comfortable while I got my nails done and then brought her right over to me when she was done. Did I mention I also got a mimosa? ❤️❤️ 10000/10!"

"Such a bright and spacious salon! The gorgeous staff were super sweet and helpful. The manicure stations were glamorous and well lit. All the employees were very stylish and cute. The pedicure chairs are located in a separate area that you can access via the doors on either ride of the hallway that goes to the back of the suite. After the hallway forks, there are rooms used for privacy during wax services located down the right and left extensions of hallway. I went in to interview for a receptionist position, and I could not be more thrilled or hopeful! Fingers crossed! Either way, I’ll be returning ASAP to get my nails looking fabulous."
