"My son and I had a disappointing experience here last week right before closing. There was only one other customer in the store, a very polite transgender woman, who was being assisted by an African American staff member, Andy. The Caucasian staff member helping us, Sloan, unlocked the tool cabinet and I went to the register with my purchase. I had to go back to the tool section for a second item. Both staff members, Andy and Sloan, were standing there speaking very loudly and laughing while pointing at the transgender woman, who was at the register. I asked what they were laughing at, and Andy pointed to the register and said "he, she, it, whatever you wanna call it!" and they both laughed sarcastically. I promptly responded "I call her a human being." and walked away. Andy started stammering trying to save face, but I just walked away, disgusted with their behavior. I really hope that this woman wasn't aware of these two staff members laughing at her. I'm sure she has had to endure other ignorant people in her life, but certainly not at a business where hard-earned dollars are being spent. The world we live in is already full of narrow-minded people afraid of anything out of whatever "norm" they are used to. I don't want any part of that hatred and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my money in a business that hires people like that. Shame on you, Lenhart's Ace Hardware. You just lost a loyal customer."

"This is a larger store with a wide selection of items - it was the only place that had the specific chairs I was looking for! Not only that, but the staff is extremely kind. The managers and cashiers all greeted me and they helped me with my order when the Ace online system was down. I really appreciate them and highly recommend using this Ace location!"

"Came in this week to purchase some hose fittings. I was approached by a elderly associate wearing a blue air force hat who said he has worked there for like 30 years or so and just completely cut me off when I was explaining what I needed and sent me to another associate. He clearly did not want to help me and I was not the only one he did that to. Oh and if working there consists of just standing up front like the guy with the sleeve tattoo and glasses sign me up. The rest of the associates were nice but I did not appreciate the first guy. P.S The colored cashier is very loud."

"I have been coming to Lenhart's for as long as I can remember, my dad used to take me there when I was a kid. I still go here today, the people are still awesome, the selection and services available are second to none. And of course the bolt room, that is what I remember the most. So when I went in the other day, straight to the bolt room. Walked up and showed him what I needed, he looks at it, double checks, and grabs a box of different lengths that match the threads. Get what I needed, and ask about a die to repair some threads on something else. He again literally looks at it, and walks me out to what I needed. Best service ever, he was great to talk with as well. If you need hardware this is the place to go, and you support a locally owned business."

"Nice place. Good patient people, such as Sloan, willing to drop what they are doing to make sure you get what you need."
