Goodwill Donation Center 8770 North Thornydale Road, Tucson, AZ 85742

"I had a load of items that I had gotten in a storage locker auction that I had no use for, so loaded up my vehicle and drove the mile to the donation center. A skinny older fella came out with a cart. He took one look at the amount and told me that he couldn’t take that much stuff and told me to go to another goodwill 9 miles away. I said to him “it all doesnt have to go.” So I opened up the door and tried to hand him a new toaster, he again told me I needed to go to another store. I asked him what could he take? He again said take all of it to another location. I said it all doesn’t have to go. He wasn’t even interested in what I had. There was probably $1000 worth of items. Many brand new. I donated them to another delightful organization that unloaded the items for me with a smile. Ironically they are in an old goodwill location. My neighbor took left over garage sale items to this same goodwill and same guy told her the same thing but finally gave in and took them after saying to her “what, did you have a yard sale?” It’s a shame that this occurs where you expect that your stuff would be sold and benefit the local community. I will no longer consider goodwill as a place to donate to. Very disappointed."

"I’ve made a lot of trips to this location and everyone there is always so quick and nice. I’ve seen a lot of rude people dropping off stuff and being awful to the employees. Depending on the stuff you have, the amount, number of people ahead of you, etc it might not be instantaneous so hopefully people are capable of understanding and being courteous and not-terrible-humans. Kudos to the employees who put up with it without losing it, I definitely couldn’t and you guys shouldn’t have to. You’re appreciated and it doesn’t go unnoticed!"

"The super easy drop-off starts when my car trips a sensor so they know I'm outside waiting. They come outside, ask my zip code, and I pop the trunk and let them know exactly what's for Goodwill. I don't even have to get out of the car! Employees aren't always friendly, but that doesn't affect my reason for donating."
