"Usually a decent place to shop... Decent prices. But double check your receipts to make sure that advertised deals are ringing up correctly. Also today they had five or six self checkout lines shut down. So the line was ginormous; long wait. Not only do they typically only have one cashier working per shift, but they also had five or six robot self-checkout registers closed today for God knows what reason"

"Smith’s is a pretty standard grocery store. This one in particular… nothing special. But, thankfully it’s conveniently easy to get to from most of town. I can’t say this is a nicer or even a cleaner store… just standard. It was interesting to see that there was a real physical pay phone just outside the store. There are water dispensers and a Redbox. The bakery inside is bigger than you would find at most places. They also seem to have a decent pharmacy. There is a big sized lot for good parking options. The Smiths gas station is in the same parking lot. As a grocery store, these guys likely have what you need for your everyday living."

"Updated review: Seven Months have past. Nothing has been improved. Added pictures of the negligent stocking practices I have acquired over a week. It's this way almost every time I come in, doesn't matter if it's 8am, 5pm, or 10 at night, and it does seem to be a store practices thing. The self-checkouts continue to be a textbook example of why Self-checkouts are a failed experiment that businesses need to remove. ------------------------- Man, Mr. Kroger, I really wish you'd let me get my products and pay you without throwing roadblocks at me. Let me paint you a story. I'm on my way to work. It's 10:30pm. I have 30 minutes to obtain what will be my dinner over my 8 hour over-night shift. There are very few restaurants open on my route to work, and none with drive-thrus that aren't packed this hour. Practically no Delivery Apps function at this hour near my place of business due to lack of restaurants and drives. It's a grocery store or hit an expensive Maverik over break. I arrive at Smith's, the most convenient grocery store on my route. I'm there often at this hour, I've been aware of the issues since the second year of the pandemic. As with most nights, and I will sum up the core of it all here; everyone is too concerned with closing over providing service. The stocking staff have barricaded off most of the aisles in a haphazard manner so you cannot get your items in a timely manner. Meanwhile the manager is updating you to get your things and get out in their unusual spiel, despite as you look to the front end, they don't have enough self-checkout stands open for the amount of customers in store most nights. This aspect is agitated by the fact the two aging, gabbing managers at the front refuse to properly mind the check out stands. Customers stand for excessive amounts of time at a self-checkout with an error while they customer service neglects them. After wasting ten minutes standing for a self checkout, now with only ten minutes to get myself to my job, I finally get to check out. And I find that due to the store's rampant mislabeling of prices and sales, I owe 8 dollars more than what I estimated in my head. I just have to sigh, as this is the third day in a row this has happened, and I don't have time to wait for the inept management at the front to do a refund and still be on time. I collect my things, walk out, and remind myself that it's this, go 15 minutes outta my way, or eat at McDonald's every night till I die of heart failure. Some nights, it's okay, if certain employees are on schedule, but if you come to this store anytime but peak daylight hours of operation; expect service to be slow, management to be inept, and prices to be inaccurate."

"I do like Smith's grocery store. It is a good-sized store. One of the reasons I like to go to Smith's is they have sales on ribeyes, New York's and t-bone steaks quite often. They also have a sushi bar that I have not tried yet. They have to Redbox machines on the outside of the store."
