"I hate to leave a bad review but I did not enjoy Bombay cafe at all. We came on a Friday night and there was nobody inside. We got the tiki masala, butter chicken, and coconut chicken all medium heat with garlic naan and a mango lassai. The garlic naan and mango lassai were very good. On the other hand, the dishes had hardly any flavor and no heat at all. It felt like the dishes were made rapidly and without much care. The tiki masala was super pink. The portions are good size, but we didn’t want to take the leftovers home (something we never do). Normally I love Indian food but this place just didn’t satisfy my craving for it. And service wise it just seemed like they didn’t want us there."

"Seriously delicious coconut curry! They served my Lamb Coconut Curry quickly with delicious garlic flat bread. You know it’s good when the plate is licked clean (not really, I used the bread)."

"Bombay cafe is fantastic. Very authentic, No MSG and fresh ingredients. We are so glad that they have a place in St. George on tabernacle. Today had lamb karahi and naan bread my wife had chicken coconut curry. The lamb was extremely tender the rice was perfect I always love that little cucumber thingy on the side. Dr. Pena, my allergist, told me about them 12 years ago and I’m so glad he did. I recommend them to everyone."

"My wife and I were looking for a vegan restaurant for lunch and fortunately we found Bombay Cafe. Their menu is great with a separate column for vegetarian and vegan dishes. I got the Veggie Coconut Curry mild level of spice and a garlic nan. My wife got the same dish with no spice and garlic nan. We both loved this unusual dish as we have never seen it at an Indian restaurant before which is why we both selected it. The mix of veggies was perfect carrots, potatoes, onions cauliflower and green peas as was the rice and curry which was delicious. If you like coconut you will enjoy this dish."

"What happened?? So many good reviews, so I took the plunge on treating myself and got takeout. The portion size is great, the food, however... not so impressive. I got butter chicken because it's typically the safe option. Upon arrival, it's extremely oily-- there's a thick layer of grease covering the entire entree. It tastes nothing like butter chicken you would get at any other restaurant, including Red Fort right here in town. Did something go awry in the kitchen? Did I receive the wrong food entirely? Beyond disappointed at what I got for the price I paid."
