"Food tasted fresh and authentic. Not my cup of tea personally, but definitely worth a try!"

"This is a fantastic place to order pupusas. Very authentic and an excellent ratio of filling to masa. When I come back again I think I'd just get the pupusas a la carte. They are very filling and the rice and beans on the side were just ok. My wife had nachos and said they were good."

"So I have just found this place a week ago and holy cow I had some veggie pupusa’s and a few pork with cheese and beans also I had the pork cicerones and guacamole. These are by far the best Pupusas I’ve had in years. This is a great little place to check out. Remember they’re closed on Monday, but open the rest of the week."

"Tias Restaurant is fantastic! We tried a number of things and were happy with all selections. The pupusas were heavenly with wonderful texture and packed with deliciousness. This is a place we will be back to."

"I was super excited to try Tia’s and really wanted to like this place, so much so that we came here two nights in a row (previous night had an hour long wait and they were out of certain things like rice that we wanted with our order). I love that they have a vegan menu with several items including papusas, nachos, and vegan tamales. While the food was very tasty, they really messed up my order; I was super explicit about everything I ordered being vegan and ordered the vegan papusas, vegan nachos, and vegan tamale (I told them how excited I was to find this number of vegan options). The nachos and tamale came out first; the nachos were awesome, and I started eating the tamale only to discover it had what looked and tasted like real chicken (I haven’t eaten chicken in 18 years and this had a different taste from the veg chicken I’ve eaten). I went up and spoke with the owner and turns out I was right - the order was entered in incorrectly. They said sorry and made me a new tamale. Despite this being a pretty big mistake I was chill about it and didn’t make a fuss. Next we got our papusas; I started eating mine and realized it was made with real cheese; it was very stringy and I wasn’t sure, so asked and sure enough, they messed up that order too. I really wanted to like and support Tia’s; small family owned business, vegan menu, tasty and authentic food (and pretty unique vs other cuisines you can find in UT). But mistakes like this are unacceptable, let alone two mistakes in one meal, and really dampened my opinion of the restaurant. Don’t think I’d come back. If you’re going to order from the vegan menu, would recommend double checking after paying to ensure the order was entered in correctly."
