Looks FABULOUS (see pic of hull) .. probably better than new! 5++ stars for the workmanship and fair price to repair! "Husband took our boat to our Chapman Boat Repair to see what could be done to restore many years of oxidation. We were thinking about attempting to restore the boats gel coat and were advised that there were too many colors for them to attempt this type of a change as the gel coat would be very thick. We appreciated their honesty. Instead, the boat was left with Chapman for a good polish and wax. Husband stopped by about a week later and he was okay with the work but Chapman wanted to give it another go with wet sanding and wax. Husband picked up the boat another week later and brought it home. This was when I (the incredibly picky wife!) finally saw it for the first time. Now, I've been around this boat for about 20 years (use to belong to a family member) and I remember what it use to look like 'back in the day' so I was absolutely STUNNED when I saw the results. The boat gleams like it did when it was new! The price ended up being higher (almost double) than the original estimate and while we would have liked to have known about the increase prior to the extra work, we wouldn't have objected because we knew these guys had a big challenge and the estimate was just that, an estimate. After seeing the miracles these guys pulled off, we both agree that the work they did was worth every cent. I will recommend the folks at Chapman Boat Repair without hesitation and they will definitely be our go to source in the future for yearly fiberglass maintenance."
