5.11 Tactical

"Starting using 5.11 brand back in November of 2022 and honestly it's been the best pair of pants I've ever owned for work and even riding pants for my motorcycle. Highly recommend these for anyone who works Healthcare or any high labor careers. They're very well made heavy duty pants that feel light weight. 5.11 also has awesome warranties and stands behind their products! The staff here at the meridian location have always gone above and beyond for me! They're professional, courteous, and loyal to their customers. Highly recommend coming in and checking them out. "This review is about the people at this 5.11 store. 5.11 products are what they are, and that subject has been beaten to death. In my experience with the products I own: They're good. You do, in fact, get what you pay for, and if you're serious about doing hard tasks in difficult places, they'll help. My first time in the store I chatted with the employee about backpacks for probably half an hour. He personally owned just about every model and made suggestions about which one was best for my needs (which was a hard mix of range bag/duffel bag/hiking pack), and in the months I've been using the RUSH24 I bought, he was absolutely right. Months later, recently, I was preparing to embark on my first overnight backpacking trip using that very pack. The morning before I left, I was a little nervous that my backpack may be too heavy or be missing something, so I decided I'd stop in the 5.11 store with my backpack fully loaded and ask for suggestions or critique. I remembered there had been some experienced individuals there in the past. So I did, and the man I spoke with quickly deferred to his manager, whose name I regret I can't remember, however he was different from the also very experienced employee I spoke with the first time. The manager looked it over, asked me about different gear I was packing, how many nights I was staying, and he went so far as to take me over to a bench and teach me how to tie a bowline and trucker's hitch knot to better secure my sleeping bag to the pack, which turned out to be instrumental when I had to cinch the paracord down very tightly mid-hike. He made sure I had food, water filtration, a flashlight, and that everything was secure and the weight was distributed properly through the pack. I picked up a belt accessory for it, he showed me how to attach it, and I went on my way. The trip was great, the belt did help, and I'm very glad I stopped in before I left. This anecdote is to illustrate that the people at this store have a genuine, earnest passion for what they do. Most of them own tons of 5.11 gear themselves and use it thoroughly: For backpacking, on the range, for travelling, or wherever YOU might use it. This means they know their products so well that you can walk in with nothing but an idea of what you want to accomplish, and they can envision which of their products can make it happen and how, and they will happily take you through the whole process. I couldn't ask for a better shop. As an aside: The only thing that made me almost not buy the RUSH24 bag was the copious amount of MOLLE on all sides of it. It has a pretty overt "tacticool" look to it, but man did it save my butt when I ran out of space inside the pack and started needing to attach stuff to the outside of it, too. This backpack can carry 4x more than what it can fit. It's pretty cool."
