"I just came to leave a review and also found my daughter's review for this shop. She was 5 hours away in Boise when the transfer case on her RAV4 had a catastrophic internal failure. Honestly, no one is quite sure how she got off the free way and made it to Reliable Automotive. She was a bit rattled and stuck far from home when she called me. By then these guys had already helped her understand the basics of the problem and helped her take pictures to send me. At that point it wasn't clear that the transfer case was completely toast, but it was obviously not a quick fix. She needed to get home anyway, so I elected to drive up there the next morning, rent a trailer and tow the RAV4 back to the shop where we had recently purchased it. I left early the next morning and was only halfway there when I had a kidney stone that decided to cause trouble (not my first). I had a very, very long rest of the day getting there, getting the U-Haul and getting to the shop and home again. Again these guys were so helpful and helped us get loaded up, they really made what was a pretty miserable day a lot better. Despite having spent hours trying to diagnose the situation, they didn't charge us anything because they ended up not working on the vehicle. It was all I could do to force some cash on them for 'lunch money' at least as we left. We likely won't be back in Boise any time soon, but I wouldn't think twice about having these guys work on my vehicles if we were. It is nice to know there are good folks to be found wherever you go."
