"I went to Dr. McCall last year to seek help for a urinary/gynecological condition that was severely impacting my life. I was having non-stop reoccurring UTIs and in constant pain and had been for a year before I saw her. No other doctors could seem to find the source of the issue, so McCall was my last hope to finding out what was wrong. The day of my appointment, her office called me asking to cancel my appointment that day (I later found out this was so Dr. McCall could go on vacation). My phone was completely broken at this point in time, so I showed up to the appointment as normal. Dr. McCall's nurse was immediately rude to me upon entering the room, and questioned me to whether or not I received their phone call to cancel. I said no, I hadn't because my phone is not working. When Dr. McCall came into the room, she basically told me that my issues were most likely in my head due to sexual trauma. My mother told her of a COMMON gynecological condition that she was diagnosed with as a child, and Dr. McCall said she "hadn't heard of that". Then, I was asked to provide a urine sample. Due to my condition, I had a difficult time urinating. I just found out last week from another doctor that this is a physiological problem. Dr. McCall's nurse accosted me, saying that I knew I had this appointment so why didn't I drink enough water? I told her that I had drank plenty of water, but I couldn't urinate because of my condition. She told me to go try, so I did. While I was in the restroom, I heard Dr. McCall's nurse outside loudly discussing how I couldn't urinate. Both of them were laughing and mocking me. I heard a phrase along the lines of, "She knew she had this appointment, so I don't understand why she can't just pee". The conversation continued for several minutes; it just kept going and going and was honestly pathetic to hear from grown adults. They were clearly loud enough for me to hear from the bathroom, so I guarantee others could hear it too. I started crying, as I could hear someone who I was begging for help talking behind my back while I was desperately trying to urinate and in extreme pain while doing so. When I entered the room, Dr. McCall noticed I was crying and sassily asked, ".... am I okay to continue the exam?". I didn't have a choice, as I thought she was my last hope, so I said okay despite being so uncomfortable. She knew I have sexual trauma and did not take one single measure to make me comfortable throughout that appointment. Nothing came out of the exam or the appointment, and I was left without answers and believing that my pain was all in my head. She also told me she would refer me to a specialist, but I never got that referral and had to go see yet another doctor to get it. It is clear to me that Dr. McCall and her nurse are two people that don't care about the wellbeing of their patients, as a vacation was more important to them than treating me with respect. I was going to let bygones be bygones for the last year, but I just got a cystoscope and surgery two weeks ago and found out that I have multiple issues including Strep B and diverticuli in the bladder, and anatomy issues that are all causing me extreme pain and possibly lifelong damage from the lack of treatment. My surgeon said she "couldn't believe how much pain I must have been in all this time". Funny... it's not in my head. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this experience to my worst enemy. Aleshia Kellen was normally who I went to and I absolutely adored her, but unfortunately this whole experience has made me wary to step foot in that office again."
"Dr. McCall has been my OBGYN for 25 years and she is the greatest. Nurse Teresa is awesome as well. I’m fortunate to have her as my doctor."
"She was very nice and personable but every other person I encountered in this practice was flippant and rather cold towards me.the ultrasound tech on my second ultrasound said " I hate new moms they are so annoying that's why I have a huge tv in here." I heard these words play in my head daily for months trying not to ask too many questions or sound,as she put it, annoying. I was in the office the day before my son died and they said everything is okay. No testing or anything was provided even after was told i needed an ultrasound after covid( it never happened)and he passed away by the next morning at 34 weeks. The nurse who checked me in after I found out about his passing laughed so much it broke me. Not the best clinic but a doctor who tried... I hope"
"We love Dr. McCall. We trust her to make the correct decision in the moment to protect our best interests (she preserved my ability to carry another child despite a hemorrhaging event when I was under anesthesia. I know it would have been easier to do an emergency hysterectomy, but she knew we wanted another child). During office visits, I list all the pregnancy symptoms that are not glamorous by any means and I trust her to let me know if I say anything that can either be resolved with some tips or if it's not normal and she wants to check. Exactly what I wanted in an OB."
"Absolutely loved Dr. McCall and her whole team during my pregnancy. This was my first child and I was nervous / did not know what to expect. Her own excitement, plus positive and calm attitude made me feel very reassured throughout the process. She and Alicia always took the time to answer my or my husbands questions and were very supportive through the pregnancy. During labor, I was not progressing as fast as I should, but Dr. McCall knew I wanted to have a natural birth and let me stick to my birth plan for as long as possible. We talked through my options at various points (without her pushing me one way or another, just letting me know what was happening) which I really appreciated. She was luckily the Doctor on call the night I delivered and I could not be more pleased as it was a tough delivery but her kindness and coaching helped me through. Could not recommend Dr. McCall and her team enough and will definitely be going back for my next pregnancy!"
