"The worse Insurance company I have contacted!! Only for the lady that answered first and tried to help, she then transfers me to a "Brandan Price ", so he could help me! The only thing he took care of was scream, no patience, no respect, SOOO unprofessional!! Not someone who helps through telephone!! "Had workers comp and liability for two companies I own through Barker Phillips. Went through an audit (not out of the norm), in which they changed my classification code and tried to charge me several thousand dollars more for my premium. I disputed the audit because they only changed the classification on one of my businesses instead of both. Both businesses are the same only in different locations, so it didn’t make sense for them to be classified differently. Our agents at Barker, filed the dispute on our behalf, but that’s where they stopped. Once the insurance company came back and said they weren’t changing it, our agents were done fighting for us. They didn’t want to push the dispute any further and said we just needed to pay the new premium. I reached out to a different broker for help. He looked at the audits and told us that we were right to dispute. He reached out to the NCCI for us, got us in contact with them. I got a letter directly from the NCCI and then had to just go around Barker Phillips and dispute the audit myself. I won the dispute, and my premium dropped by thousands of dollars to where it had originally been quoted, with no help from Barker. If you are like me, and are looking for an agent who will fight for you, help you as the client rather than just side with the insurance company because it’s easier, then look elsewhere. I could really go on, because it gets worse. Do yourself a favor and find an agency who serves you and not the insurance companies."
