"Front desk agent Cat (unsure of spelling) is a liar. This hotel has potential to be nice but the staff isn’t competent and lie and place you in any room available at the moment despite specifically booking a certain type of room all because they “over book”. I won’t ever stay here again."

"It was good for it's intended purpose as lodging was concerned. Beds were very comfortable and the room was nice. The bathroom light was an issue as stated in similar reviews. The issues weren't too bad, definitely first world problems. Thin walls and shower leaked water onto the floor."

"Stayed NYE so price was more expensive then normal. Room was great. Location is perfect. Bar was not open for Chiefs game so ran to Bally's casino to sports bar. There also is Old Chicago a block away."

"Go to the bar! But make sure it’s before Wednesday. The room was a basic room, clean comfy and functional, the location is good if you only like fast food or driving, however I would stay here again because of Michael. Bartender Michael makes you feel right at home, makes amazing drinks, treats everyone at the bar like a close friend or family member and puts everyone in a good mood. I stayed Monday through Friday. The bar was packed with people, laughter and fun every night until it closed Wednesday. When I returned Thursday there was a new bar tender. The bar was empty and the vibe was ice cold. I overheard the new barkeep saying to the only customer there that the bar was closing early that night (it was 7 pm) so the only paying customers there felt a really welcomed feeling (sarcasm). "I originally had an air bnb booked for the Beyonce concert. However, when the date was changed I was no longer able to keep what I booked. I was scrambling to find a hotel that wouldn't cost me double than what I was originally paying. It landed me at Aloft North. I was very nervous because of the lower reviews but I'm glad everything turned out fine. The front desk staff were SO NICE. They even switched my room when there was a shower leak in the first one (hopefully they did get this fixed for the next guest). The hotel was clean, had a chic design, I didn't experience any loud noises or guests, and the air was blowing perfectly. The only cons I have to warn for is that the shower is put out in the open. This caused my shower water not to feel as hot especially because I had the air going. This also could be a privacy issue if traveling with another person whom you would prefer not to see all of your business. Other than that, I would come back!"
