"The hairstylist Carissa was rude, very unprepared and not on time. My appointment was supposed to be at 12 pm on the 26th of October. I wanted to get my hair dyed and cut. We came here 10 minutes early waiting outside and she was running late, 13 minutes late. She said she would come at 12:06-12:08 which was 6-8 minutes late, but she took longer and came until 12:13. My mom was upset and so was I. I told Carissa that we had been waiting here for 23 minutes. A hairstylist should be here on time just like they expect clients to come on time. Her excuse was “I always come late”. My problem wasn’t really her coming late, it was her being offended to my honesty. She wouldn’t let me speak, interrupting me and would make excuses. I was not trying to come off as rude but she took offense. Not only that but she was unprepared telling me at 11 pm the night before to wash my hair with clarifying shampoo when she could’ve done it at the salon. I even had to call her a day before the appointment asking if she could do my desired hair and she didn’t even have the products on hand. If I hadn’t called her then she wouldn’t have had been prepared with products I needed for my hair today. She should’ve contacted me first to ask what I wanted, but I had to contact her first. I should’ve known not to come to her salon with her unpreparedness before the day of my appointment. I scheduled my appointment 2 days before. She proceeded to say that it’s my fault for scheduling my appointment so soon but her online booking website gave me the option to. If you can’t prepare the appointment on time, then why give the option to schedule it that day? She took my honesty about her being late as me “being rude” and “talking crazy”. I was not talking crazy. She said she didn’t feel comfortable doing my hair just because I expressed my opinion about her being late and unprepared. This is not professional at all. She said that my comments won’t let her “perform her job properly”. She even wanted me to sign a whole contract incase my hair didn’t turn out the way I wanted, which I find weird. My mom cannot speak English so she wasn’t able to say anything. She even mentioned my hair could fall out since I wanted a blonde color. I should be the one upset, not her, she just took my honesty to offense. She only is offering me waxing or lash services through text after I left as an “apology” because she doesn’t want me writing a bad review. But I won’t accept it because of how I was treated. Even if she was going to be late, an early notice would’ve been great but she didn’t even tell me she was going to be late until I messaged her 5 minutes before my appointment. I will not be coming back her for her unprofessionalism and lateness. This made me very upset because I still was willing to let her do my hair and pay full price until further comments. She can’t handle the truth and gets offended. I wasted my time but I’m glad I did not waste my money. I am disappointed and upset. I understand people got things going on in their life but she’s not the only one. If you want clients to be satisfied with you, the least you can do is come on time and not take offense to their honesty."
