Avis Car Rental 1 Nassau Circle, Kansas City, MO 64153

"I booked in advance. When I got to the desk, I was asked if I was fine with a Hyundai sedan. I had booked a sedan so I was fine with this option. Little did I know, the employee working the desk charged me for an upgraded vehicle. This nearly doubled the amount my rental car costs. I waited at the gate to exit the facility with not a single employee in sight."

"I gave this rating because the staff let me leave with 2 different license plates on the car. One was Florida, and the other was Colorado. When i called customer service 2 days later ,they were next to useless. When i turned the car back in i specifically made sure that theyknew about the license plates. But, there was no mention of it on my receipt. They also did not appear to be taking care of the issue with the plates. My rental was prepaid and yet when I turned the car back in they tried to charge me more fees."

"They didn’t honor my affirm payment so I had to pay for it all up front and ruined my Christmas vacation after I had already payed into it. The cashier ran my card 4x after it didn’t go through the first time and triggered a fraud charge and I had to call my bank. I wasn’t given the type of rental car I paid for or the option to choose from the category I picked. The car had a broken mirror and flat tire before I even drove it off the lot. Just an over all terrible experience with this shady company or maybe it’s just the Kansas City Airport location. Either way AVIS barely gets 1 star from me."

"I booked weeks in advance and was given a pick up truck. Avis wouldn’t allow me to switch vehicle because they said they were full. It was midnight and tons of cars in lot. Horrible service and disappointing service model for a ling term now past loyal customer. I am sure I won’t hear from them either as a follow up."

"This will be the last time I ever use Avis in Kansas City. Between when I got off the airplane and when I got to the rental car facility the app deleted my rental. It was scheduled for 1130pm and I got to the facility at 1205. I am a long preferred member. I went outside to preferred and was told that I couldn’t even ask a question because she was off the clock. The lines inside were super long. Ended up waiting in line. Please don’t use Avis. Please pick any other company. Update: our wait was about an hour. Finally got out of the parking lot at nearly 1am. There was still about 50 people in line and they were down to just a handful of cars. Still don’t recommend."
