"Amazing, we lucked out, and there were hundreds of sea lions. It was so cool, and they were even closer than they were at the sea Lion caves. I don't know how often they are here on the rocks, but it was amazing to see them."
"Cape Arago is a hidden gem! Seriously, I’m torn over giving it the glowing review it deserves or keeping it a secret for myself and other locals! It’s hardly ever crowded with tourists, but the sweeping ocean views are spectacular. It’s worth the detour off the 101 for sure, not just for it specifically, but for the stops along the way as well. If you have the time, there’s a short paved trail to a viewpoint of the seals and sea lions that is simply incredible. They have bathrooms but they’ve been closed everytime I’ve gone there, however there are flush toilets at sunset beach which is not far away on the same road. Most of the views are accessible however the sea Lion tail would be difficult to navigate a wheelchair due to the steep dips and bumpy old pavement. There are some really lovely picnic table spots right at the cliffs edge where you can listen to the barking of the seals and the crashing of the waves."
"There is such good tide pooling in this park! We ended up spending most of our time here, it was fabulous! In addition to checking out all of the small critters, we also saw a gray whale, sea lions, and seals!"
"Great views and tidepools on the south side. The path is pretty steep and only paved part of the way. Be prepared to maneuver a small path atop a 5 foot drop from cliff to beach and climb over rocks and logs."
