"Perched on a scenic bluff above the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres Garden was built in 1910 as a private estate with luxurious gardens featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants brought from around the world aboard the sailing ships of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson. A beautiful place to stroll around on a sunny autumn afternoon. Still lots of flowers in bloom to see."
"This place is great. The light displays were magnificent and very professionally done. About halfway through, they had hot cider and coffee and chocolate chip cookies. It was beautiful and a lot of fun"
"Shore Acres us beautiful in every season. My favorite is the holiday light display. It's a family friendly event with complimentary cookies and hot cider, hot coffee, and punch. Their new reservation system helps alleviate overcrowding. The light display is the highlight of our Christmas celebration."
"This is a beautiful State Park where you can take in all the sights of the Pacific Ocean shoreline, relish in the serenity of the Siuslaw National Forest, Camp, Hike, capture amazing wildlife photos and more. They have amazing gardens with thousands of plants and trees from all over the world. They also have an impressive Christmas Light Display that is fun for all ages. I strongly recommend checking it out."
"Super easy to book online, parking was plentiful. Short walk to get to the venue itself. There are plenty of places to explore and hike. We went there specifically for the light festival which was amazing. Free hot cocoa and cider inside the historic home which you can explore. The walk wasn't bad at all once there and we saw plenty of people in wheelchairs. Service dogs are only allowed. The gift shop however was generic and expensive."
