"There's a gated area for daytime parking at one end, but locked no access at night. The other parking lot has 24-hour access, horse shoe pits, n maybe volleyball area bbq areas...Small bridge over a very pretty stream, to take up up the trails. I saw no aggets, but there was a large amount of really Kool rocks no matter. Very nice beach, very clean park, and you can pull up n just sit in ur car watching the sun rises, or very colorful sunsets, or watch the stormy weather if thats ur thing. It's a few miles south of Coos Bay..with stores here n there on main rd. Easy on n off. Very pretty cove for sunsets. Especially if u hike the trail to the point. I would highly recommend this park if u need to hold family functions or group functions. If you wanna park n smooch with ur partner in front of the sunset..or luner events. Or just want quiet time, to breathe n chill n get recharged for ur quest for ur path in this life. You can tell this park has folks in charge who have pride in their work. Be blessed."

"Beautiful spot and very quiet. We were here in February, after the area had received a lot of rain. The paved site was still pretty muddy in a couple of spots, but it was nice and level. It was great to have hookups for the two nights we stayed. Kevin the park ranger couldn’t have been more helpful. I only wish we’d had more time to explore the area."

"Great beach, super easy to get to. Bathrooms right there. Cool tide pools. Not good for shells or rocks for you beachcombers out there. Take advantage of its namesake if you can and enjoy a sunset."

"Nice place with lots of trees. Great access to beaches and hiking. Entrance as you pull in is kind of narrow. First thing I did was catch a post and break a light cover on the side of our trailer. My fault, but be careful. RV pads are narrow, too. As it was very rainy and wet, anything we had to do outside the trailer quickly became muddy. Because of the water issues here, the dump hookup sits pretty high. Every dump required a fair amount of manipulating the hose to really empty it out. Not too fun in the mud. Foot traffic tunnel under highway was flooded, so had to walk across road to trails and beach. (We were there in late December.) There is no data reception at all here. Not necessarily a criticism, just something of which to be aware. People seemed to be having success with Starlink, but sure about Weboost. We didn't have either at this point. Had to drive into Charleston if we wanted to make a phone call. We really enjoyed our time here. Just be prepared and know what to expect."

"This is a very pretty and quiet park. You can picnic at the park As well as hike around the bay. Views are beautiful. We were there the end of October. We camped at the campground, which was pleasant. Part of the campground was closed for the season. The restrooms, especially the showers, need updating. But, the water was hot, we did not have to pay and it worked. We rode our bikes to Cape Arago and Shore Acres as well. Both very beautiful. There is a botanical garden at Shore Acres but it was closed when we were there late in the day. Looks beautiful from over the fence. We were told they light it up around Christmas. We hiked down to Simpson Beach, which is also very pretty. We could hear seals/sea lions in the distance but could not see them. The whole area is worth exploring."
