"My experience here as of lately has been completely life-changing. Dr. Anderson has been so compassionate and understanding with me, and I'm usually not acknowledged or validated like I am here."

"Do NOT take your child to Matarella. EXTREMELY unprofessional, condescending, and downright rude. She was the first and only pediatrician I took my daughter to when we first moved to Lincoln City. I refused to make the "follow up" appointment with her after she opened the door to our exam room, yelled down the hall to her nurse (other children were in the clinic) that "THIS on is gonna need a 6 month check!" Um... excuse me?! For what? I still don't know. No one would tell me. I could go on about this for days, just please, save yourself the unnecessary judgement, time, and money and see a professional, caring physician. Matarella is NOT it"

"Incredibly rude stuff, very unprofessional and almost incompetent. I don’t easily get angered but I was almost in tears from frustration and just absolutely sick to my stomach by the staff there. It took 3 people to set up an appointment for a well child visit. They are unsure of their future staffing which is why they could not set up an appointment for the following mount. My child is not due for a well check visit for over two mounts so setting up something in advance must have confused them. They also would not take the paperwork that my child needs filled out in order to start school because of there said staffing issues. This Dr. Office has been my child’s Dr. clinic for almost 2 years. I am thankful my child is never sick and doesn’t need their immediate services. With the few encounters I have had with this Clinic, I am left with absolutely NO faith that if my child was truly sick they would actually be able to help. They struggle with something as simple as Communication and paperwork, this place is Truly frustrating.."

"Beware of Samaritan Hospitals! Do Not Go to any Samaritan Hospital. It's dirty and run down. They bill exorbitant fees. And when questioned on the high fees their answer is basically, "BECAUSE WE CAN". Patient care and empathy has "gone out the window". After going to the emergency room, we were billed exorbitant fees. The insurance then covered much less of the services. A year after services were provided by Samaritan hospital we received a bill. We contacted the hospital to discuss the bill. I talked with the billing department and got no where. At my request I was transferred to a patient advocate. We spoke with the Vice President's assistant. The vice president is Larry Mullens. She set up payment arrangements of $25.00 per month, with no interest, as we are on social security and couldn't afford to pay the entire amount at once. We thought the matter was resolved and have been making our monthly payments.. After making payments for 8 months and fulfilling our part of the commitment, we received a call from the billing department from an unlisted number. Sharon was extremely rude, demanding payment in full or the account would be sent to collection. We explained that we set up a payment agreement with the patient advocate and was making payments. I was rudely told they had no notes reflecting payment arrangements in the file . We were transferred to Liz, who robotically said the same thing. She again demanded payment. No notes in their computer reflected that we had payment arrangements, even though the amount owed reflected that we had paid $25.00 a month for the last four months, after an original payment of $102.18. We were again threatened that if it wasn't paid in full immediately, we would be sent to collections or sell it to an outside agency and we could make payments to them. Both options meant that our account would go to collections. They said they would never make payment arrangements for $25.00 a month, however they were accepting payments from us of $25.00 a month. We are on medicare and social security, but were forced to pay with a credit card that we now have to pay interest on. We were called early in the morning on our wedding anniversary, and the phone call basically ruined our day. We left a message to speak with the manager, Trish, who has not called us back. We are drafting a letter to Larry Mullens, reflecting our mistreatment and great dissatisfaction, along with the rude conversations we had early this morning."
