"I’ve been here several times and today 2/24/24 around 810-815am the lady at the register was extremely rude to not only my family, but the couple in front of us. I understand there’s a first come first serve rule regarding seating. There were 3 people in front that were headed to seats, a couple (next to order), then us (family of 4). My kiddos were squirming and practically next to order so I headed to sit down. As I came back towards the door to grab a high chair she stops the order for the couple in front and continues to say you can’t sit yet it’s first come first serve…. If it weren’t for my kiddos being hungry I would have left. The couple in front of us were super nice and said don’t worry we do not need a table go ahead. The fact that she was persistent I don’t sit down until we ordered so we ordered and we sat. As we were packing up to leave there was a person waiting for her friend and she was able to sit down without ordering and the lady was completely fine with it. Food was great as usual 5/5, but the lady forgot one of our items in our order and gave it to us cold. I think this was on purpose. This right here is why people don’t tip/tip well and leave negative reviews. The first interaction I had was so negative first thing in the morning. That person is definitely back of the house kind of personality and shouldn’t be the first interaction with customers."

"Such an amazing place. Great people working there and overall atmosphere is cozy and charming. Five star food as well as location with Great notion Brewery right next door. Heated patio was nice, I'll be back again someday !"

"Excellent Chicken Fried Steak and collard greens. Perfectly seasoned steak, flavorful gravy, and slightly spicy greens. Generous portion of food. The biscuit was slightly crispy on the outside and soft cake-like on the inside. Delicious Marionberry jam. This was my first visit and will certainly be a stop on my next pass through Portland."

"I have been going here for 14 years. I live in Beaverton and like the original location. The NW 23rd location is a little closer to me but no seats facing the cooks. I enjoy watching my food being made. It is really good southern style diner food. I first saw this place on the food network channel on the show Diners Driveins and Dives. Every place that I've seen Guy go to so far is amazing food made from scratch. There is also a window you can watch them make biscuits. Their Shrimp and Grits are amazing full of flavor. They also have an amazing mushroom gravy, I don't like sausage but I herd its awesome. There is a nice smoothie van parked beside them that's good too. It's hard to not want everything on the menu."
