Dueling Spoons

"I have seen so many of my friends post about how amazing they are. But nothing prepared us for the magic inside that building. The food was delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and engaging. When they say it's an experience you just don't understand until you've been here. We started our meal with the mushroom and puff pastry I ordered the not so short, short rib And my man ordered the surf and turf. For dessert they came out and sang to us, (for our aniversary) and presented us with a roasted pear ( which you will have to use your imagination on...) and a card signed by their whole family! The pair was in the center surrounded by what tasted like melted ice cream blackberries and raspberries in the sauce and a sliver of puff pastry leaned on top. ❤️ A Must try!"

"We’ve been wanting to try this charming restaurant since it opened and finally visited them on a recent Wednesday. When making the reservation, Chef Billy was very clear via text that they don’t hurry you, they want you to take your time and enjoy the experience and that if we had a later reservation (7p and after) we may wait. I appreciated the heads up as we had 7p reservations. However, we arrived a few minutes early and were immediately seated by a very friendly hostess. Our drink orders were taken immediately by Kathleen (a bottle of rose’ that was immediately put into an ice bucket). The atmosphere was very festive as several tables were celebrating anniversaries. Lots of singing by all including by Chef Billy who was in great spirits. After enjoying a bit of our amazing wine (we asked to keep the bottle since it was so interesting), Kathleen took our appetizer and dinner orders. Immediately afterwards, we were given a large chunk of their Irish soda bread which was delicious. The spoon shaped butter was a nice touch. After enjoying some more of our wine and the bread, our mushroom with pastry appetizer was wheeled to the table. It was my highlight of the entire meal, just delicious. Our entrees arrived shortly afterwards. I had the chicken with mushrooms, a delicious dish with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables smothered in a wonderfully light wine and cream sauce. My wife had the seared salmon, a large portion perfectly cooked over those same potatoes and vegetables. Between courses, I perused the mercantile space they have and was impressed by the amount of items they had from the UK and Ireland that is very difficult to get on your own here. Included in that was some HP Brown Sauce I fell in love with during an extended business trip I took to the UK a few years ago. We topped off our meal experience with the poached pear with pastry points. Simply amazing. Including a photo of that. We ended up buying some of the HP sauce and eggs they had. Chef Billy, whom throughout our time there stopped to chat asking us how our meal was going, even threw in some sticky pudding for free for us to take home. Overall, this was a top 5 meal experience for me since we moved to the area in 2019. Service, food and ambiance all 5 stars. Thank you Chef Billy and Kathleen for a memorable evening. We will be back!"

"Worth the wait/reservations. It's definitely on the pricier side, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Amazing food, great customer service, and the cutest little family restaurant! My only complaint is the parking situation, which is to be had for the locations. Highly recommend trying some time in your life!"

"Just WOW. AMAZING food served in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Well worth the drive from Eugene, and we plan on returning as often as feasibly possible. The family/servers were super nice! You’ll probably wait a while for your turn to order and get your food, so make sure to maybe snack on the way. Once you taste your food you’ll understand why it took a while though! Everything was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience!!"
