"Excited that Dough Zone was coming into Portland after having a great experience in Seattle. The location and atmosphere was great, right next to the waterfront. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. The reason for the 4 stars is the service. The table we were placed on was not cleaned thoroughly and service was slow where the servers were inattentive. The restaurant wasn't busy so we were confused why service was slow. It could've just been that day, but just wanted to share my experience."
"The location is just perfect by the water. Lovely decor. The food was good but they definitely need to work on their organization and service. This is from Sept 2023, so not sure if the service has improved since then. They bought wrong orders to our tables multiple times and the bill was completely messed up. The manager resolved it."
"I had Beef Noodle Soup, shrimp and Pork Pot Stickers, and shrimp and pork dumplings. I think the broth in the beef needle soup was the best I have had in recent memory. Wow, it was delicious. I had to pick up the bowl and finish it. The shrimp in the dumplings booked perfectly. It was a whole prawn tail and all. The only reason they have 4* instead of 5 was the lack of available sauces. They brought me fresh ginger and chili oil. Mixed with vinegar and soy sauce, it was good. That's all they had. Please bring on the spice.. at least some chili paste..... if you are in the neighborhood, don't miss out. Their prices were more than reasonable."
"I don't have much experience with this style of Asian restaurant, but I absolutely loved Dough Zone. Starting with the price, it was about $33 before tip for the two of us, which didn't seem too bad. We ordered a variety of items and shared them and they were all so delicious. Service was pretty good, everything came out much quicker than I expected. There was one major disappointment: a sign on the door commenting about reduced vegetarian options, and they weren't kidding...there were very few veggie only options. Lastly, the view and aesthetics of the restaurant were very nice, I loved our table overlooking the Willamette River."
