"Met my best friend outside and we ate some pizza at Sizzle Pie. I even bought a bumper sticker "Eat Pizza Everyday" for $4. I also used my SSI money to pay for more pizza and the alternative soda fountain. I saw someone with a cool tattoo of Bobby Hill from King of the Hill they were proud to show off along with a cool mohawk. I am trying to figure out how to upload relevant photos. Enjoyed the piping hot pizza and the root beer. You know what, I don't really think that beer goes with pizza. I couldn't stomach it. The place's ambiance makes you want to go back there and bring friends along. I am glad they offer the natural sodas instead of regular Mug rootbeer with the bulldog on the label or A&W or even the other brand that makes cream soda. I liked adding hot chili flakes to my pizza. I'm pretty sure we ate the pizza with the swirl design of pesto on top of the cheese or some similar variation like that. I'm glad Sizzle Pie was right there on the street when I met my best friend in front of the shop next door selling cute vintage Cabbage Patch Kids. Pizza with toppings by the slice are available too. We likely had garlic on the pizza too."

"Sent a long feedback email to the website a couple weeks ago, as I see management comments on this review site urging people to do so they "can further address it". Zero reply. I have a few years experience with this location, and while deliveries are almost always late, the staff has been kind and the pizza was usually first rate. The stars are for my current and what now promises to be enduring relationship with this place. Let me say, I was a rapturous Napalm Breath fan who now doubts I'll ever taste one again, because, Sizzle Pie, our pizza compact is shredded. First visit, it's a busy Friday night. I'd called in a whole pick-up pie for my partner and took my visiting mother with me to the store for slices, after having touted the wonders of their pie. When we get there, nothing in the case looks appealing and they're out of cheese, they report, with no more on the horizon. No cheese in a pizza joint is a first for me and I'm old, folks. After waiting an extra 30 min beyond the promised whole pie time, we left with 3 dried out husks of slices. Had to throw away over half of each inedible slice. Ok, I think, I'll try to redeem this experience for my mom at lunch a week later. Shop is quiet. I tell the register person about the last sad experience. He's not interested in making it good and now another 2 dried out husks. So now I'm out the $$ for 5 slices, my pizza rep with my mom is on a cliff, and Sizzle Pie and I are kaput. I'll take my business elsewhere and I'm sad about it. I guess Sizzle Pie has stopped taking pizza as seriously as some of us and that's a bummer."

"Wandered in, who doesn’t like an unexpected pizza adventure? Well, between me and my better half, we ordered 4 slices: Ace of Spades (pepperoni) easily the best slice of the bunch. Counting Sheep was spicy! Which I liked, but otherwise wasn’t anything worth writing home about. White Walker, remember how Game of Thrones ended in a disastrous manner, ruining something good and disenfranchising fans? Yeah this is the one good GoT thing I have had of late. Spiral Tap, more like boring and flat. Literally wasn’t expecting something with so much potential to be tasteless and just boring. Garlic knots: under proofed and under flavored, very greasy. Atmosphere definitely fits a theme: loud and obnoxious. If you want a good slice, try Dough Boys in Vancouver, WA."

"Did some research on "must eat foods in Portland" on a visit, and Sizzle Pie seemed to pop up a lot! Looked a the menu online, and was very much impressed! Really loved the quirky names. I called ahead to ask about the daily pizza options and went to the Hollywood location since they seemed to have something with cheese and jalapeno which sounded good. The availability of parking (as compared to the downtown location) was another plus here. I really was hoping they would have a dine in option though; My friend and I ended up sitting on the bench outside on the sidewalk and having our meal. As for the pizza... DEFINITELY worth the hype! We both got a slice of the September special; Toppings: Beer Cheese, Bratwurst and Sauerkraut. What an AMAZING flavor combination! And the slices were HUGE too! I really could just go on! We also split an order of the small Garlic Knots. The garlic knots were just so-so. Bread was okay, well seasoned, but nothing too great. I wouldn't recommend getting this. Sauces: Caramelized Onion (had a nice unique flavor, and purple color!) and the Basil Cashew Cream (kinda tangy tase, and pretty oily, I wouldn't go for this again) Definitely go for the pizza though!"
