"This is the second comment I am writing about Avenu. therefore, cockroaches walk around the house, climb out of sockets in the office, they do not react to this...they only promise PET control, but it does not happen Think carefully before choosing such a service I will definitely add a photo later"

"I have been here over a year now. I have zero complaints about these apartments, every time I need to fix anything in the apartments maintenance comes and fixes it right away. Angie in the front office is always so helpful in any questions or concerns I’ve had. Area is calm too, prices are decent for rent compared to other places around. You also get your own parking space."

"I helped a friend move recently. The first day we got everything moved in the ac said 80 degrees. The next day, 78 degrees. They did come out a day after that as it read 76 then. After a few days of adding freon an other updates like changing the entire wall theromostat the unit still doesn't cool below 74. And the temperature fluctuates from room to room. I was in the office when staff yelled at my friend that nothing was wrong with the ac system and then staff proceed to explain that they know how air conditioner works instead of simply saying" I'll send someone to look at it." They did send someone to repair the dishwasher when water leaked through the floorboards but when they changed it water and mold was also all over the wall so it may need a additional seal. This move did not provide the peace and rest that I expected for my friend."

"Overall, if you are just looking for just a place to live, it does the job. But below I will go through more details on the good and the bad of our experience at the Avenue. The Good: The apartment was clean when we moved in. For the most part it was a VERY quiet place to live. Everything in our particular apartment was taken care of and in good shape. The washer and dryer were newer models and nice too. Angie and Amber (The managers) were both kind and friendly face to face. The Bad: When applying to live here, we didn't hear back for months. They said, "we were in" but didn't send over any contract or anything official. We called them every few days for weeks to try and get a lease to sign. Every time we called they would ask us again how many bathrooms and rooms we wanted, etc. When we finally received the lease, it was a year lease, when we had told them multiple times we wanted a 3 month lease (we were just there for an internship). When it came move in day, we showed up after 2 days of travel moving here, and Angie was like, "oh! We forgot you were moving in today! Let me have someone go see if the apartment is ready to move into." luckily, they were able to give us the keys and let us move in but it made us concerned again.. After moving in and trying multiple times to use the amenities, we found out they had given us the wrong key for the pool and gym and we had to go exchange it. We lived here for a few months during the summer and I went to the pool pretty much everyday. Out of all of those days at the pool, I probably only got in it 5 times. Most of the time it was SO gross. It was a dark green color, there was also multiple times it was closed for maintenance. It was also not uncommon to have beer bottles & cans all over the pool area and some even in the pool. My time at the pool helped me also realize why it was so hard to get ahold of Amber and Angie... they were both on smoke breaks for at least 15 minutes every hour. Sometimes twice an hour.. just for entertainment one day I timed it. I'm not exaggerating. Most of the time we lived there the gate was broken. We had never received a code for the gate or anything. Randomly one Sunday, it was fixed! Wonderful! Except.. we couldn't get in because we didn't have a code. We had to call up some friends we had made there and they figure it out for us. After 3 months, our time at the Avenue came to an end. When checking out our last day, they had us write our new address on a form to send our deposit back. About a month later they call us and left a voicemail telling us that our deposit was at the front and we needed to pick it up. We immediately called back and reached their voicemail. We reminded them it needs to be mailed, we live in another state, and provided the address again. We also wrote an email. Over the next 5 months. yes, *5 MONTHS* we continue to call and email them trying to get this deposit without any luck. Finally we decide its time to take legal action as it is illegal for them to not send it within 30 days. We send them one more warning email that we are planning to sue and it was amazing! Suddenly they knew how to respond to email. After so many unanswered emails and phone calls, they managed to reply within minutes. Well anyway, after a second reminder of the threat to sue a few weeks later, a week after that, we finally received our check. So yep! That was our experience at the avenue apartments! Hopefully this will help you make an informed decision if this is the right place for you."

"Don't waste your time here - the place looks great but the management is awful. I've never dealt with such incompetency. Within a 3 month period they went thru 4 maintenance men. The office staff was not helpful and they made many billing mistakes. They made me pay deposits the lease agreement did not mention. I gave a 60 day vacate notice (per the lease) and turned in my keys and they still billed me rent after I was gone. They turned my unpaid rent into a collection agency. They never repaired any of the issues I had going on in my apartment while I lived there. The washer/dryer did not work - I reported the issue each month thru their residenttools website for 4 months and they never repaired the machine. I had an electrical fire in the bathroom that burned up everything that was plugged into it, it blew the breaker and I reported the incident immediately and their maintenance man never came out. They are only concerned with getting the empty units ready for the next tenant, if you have issues while living there good luck - they don't care! My neighbor had 47 issues in her apartment when she moved in and up until my last day there they had not made any of the repairs, she was taking the matter to their home office but didn't get any help there either. It took me 4 months to get a gate remote after I moved in, the gate keypad was broken the entire 9 months I lived there and sometimes I couldn't even get thru the gate - most of the time they left the gate open as a fix to the problem because "it was too expensive to repair" (their words not mine) - they sell you a gated community but don't expect the gate to work. The pool was always disgusting, only twice while I lived there was I able to swim - their maintenance did not take care of the place. I will never recommend this place to anyone, worst experience I've ever had with an apartment complex. The home office isn't any better - just full of incompetent, poorly trained personnel."
