"Place is rusty. Front desk was nice. Got to my first room, smelled like someone used it as their urinal then closed the door. Doors have gaps, sheets weren't fully clean, felt itchy during night and woke up at 3am to see a big roach crawling comfortably all over the ceiling above me. That was my breaking point, but what can you do when you already paid, your tired and it's in the middle of the night? Deal with it, I guess, like they expect you to. A refund should really be given back."
"This hotel was very outdated and had a lot of rusting on almost every part of the rooms. The room had an odd smell to it as soon as you walked in. The AC unit was set at 67 but did not have the room cold. The area seemed a bit sketchy and I could hear one of my neighbors knocking on the wall or ceiling. It was very uncomfortable stay which I cut short. The door would not shut all the way even with the locks on there you could hear and see a crack at the top portion of the doors. I barely got any sleep due to it being very uncomfortable. This place needs some severe TLC and updates. 10/10 not recommend. The only thing that saved my stay was the woman who checked me in on 1/31 she was really nice!"
"Wow this is a great place. It was too cold to take advantage of the tennis courts, pool or jacuzzi or the fire pit. It was clean. The towels soft. Comfy bed. Great fridge, it didn’t freeze everything. Heater kept the room toasty. Staff was incredible. Bathroom was clean and no mold."
"Excellent value. Friendly reception. Large clean room with all the usual facilities (fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, USB sockets) and even an iron and ironing board. A little bit run down on the exterior and not located where you can easily walk to any restaurants but I would definitely stay there again."
"Shavon was extremely helpful and always kept a smile. She is very friendly and willing to assist you with all your needs. Shavon is very knowledgeable of her work and takes pride in her job. I will always choose this hotel if I am in the area. Staff like Shavon makes you want to come back from the great service she provided. I appreciate everything that she has done when I stayed at that facility. I look forward to future business stays at the Baymont Inn in Port Arthur."
