I have an old Nissan Quest which has had its issues and probably should be put out of its misery but James knows how much I love my vehicle and makes sure to keep it working. "⚠️⚠️ You Don't have to take my word for it. But the Ford dealer along with 4 other mechanics with no financial gain will tell you a transmission flush is the worst thing you can do. I already knew that before going in that I should do a spill and fill only and change the filters. This place will only highly reccomend a flush and not to change the filters. Be prepared for the sales pitch. Beware. Transmission was serviced by another mechanic 13 days later and this is what allegedly 18 quarts of new fluid looked like after the flush. Make your decisions accordingly. I have yet to find anyone other than them to reccomend a flush. ⚠️⚠️"

"My husband and I were passing through on our way from Atlanta to Austin. We awoke from a quick break to discover our car had lost all its oil and made a mess at the hotel parking lot, it was 9:30 am and we were due in Austin for an appointment at 4:00 pm. In a little panic we asked around the hotel if they knew of a shop nearby that might be able to help, they suggested J & L Automotive. I called and was immediately put through to the owner James. After explaining situation, he said he could come get car and diagnose, on top of that he said he would clean up the oil from the hotel lot. We secured a rental car and we were off to Austin. Yes, that means we left our car in a place we didn‘t know, with a mechanic we didn’t know! Yes it could have been the ultimate nightmare, Instead, it was a dream come true. J&L and James kept in touch letting us know the problem and the path to getting it repaired, and then handled everything with absolute professionalism finishing and having it ready for us as we passed through 3 days later on our way back home. The whole experience, including the cost just the best it could be! I would say to anyone that lives in or around Marshall Texas, if this is how J&L treats a stuck and panicked strangers, imagine how they treat their neighbors?
