"Great variety foods, supplements/vitamins, self serve snacks like nuts, chocolate, and even peanut butter (honey roasted is my favorite). Self check out and plenty of other check out lines. Parking not so great especially late in the evening."

"Sunday Feb 3 around 3:30 husband and I were about to ck out. One of the employees motioned us to go ahead and use the 10 items or less ck out no one else was there so we went ahead and began scanning our items. ‘Amaya’ an employee who was assigned that ck out area came over and first scolded us for using that ck out then she proceeded to tell us how to scan every item we had. She hovered over us till finally I said ‘ we aren’t kids we don’t need you hovering over us please let us finish’. Amaya then went over to a group of young ladies who were employees and said she couldn’t ‘deal’ with us and walked away. First off I realize we had more items than 10 to buy but we wouldn’t have gone in that line unless we were directed to. I was livid. This young woman needs lessons in customer service and overall people skills"

"HEB is especially busy during the holidays as you can see from their massive full parking lot. But it's an equally big store. There prices are best in the area and so is their selection. Since COVID I've become accustomed to using their curbside pickup more and more. It helps me stay on budget and not buy things that are not on my list. Just be prepared to do some walking when going into the store. I can't even imagine covering the entire store during a single shopping trip. It's just so much to take in and look through. Final thought, Hill Country Fair is their store brand and their store brand is usually a better than the National Brand. I love the HEB Nacho Flavoured chips much more than Doritos. The store brand Mild Salsa is way better than Pace. The HCF hot wings are way better than Tyson (but you have to cook them about a third longer than the instructions on the bag, or they will be too greasy). Cook for 36 minutes instead of 24 and they are amazing, especially witha bit of buttermilk ranch salad dressing. I prefer Ken's steak house buttermilk ranch over HCF (the store brand) but there's so many times the HCF brand is equal or better. Especially in frozen food. They are now carrying Indian food by Sukhi's in the frozen foods. I took a chance when I saw a buy one get one free pull tag and have been hooked ever since."

"I tried to give heb bakery a chance since everything was last min getting my Foreman a cake. He’s getting married and I wanted the cake to say Congratulations Tory Newlywed. Now either the decorator didn’t graduate or just can’t decorate and they hire anyone. The manger offered me a discount then proceed to get the night person (That’s not a decorator) to fix it.. When I say never again, I mean it!!! (Before and after)"
