Mellow Mushroom Lake Charles

"This is the third AND LAST time we will eat at this restaurant. My hubby and I waited over 1.5 hours for our pizza and calzone while my son and his friends waited almost 2 hours for theirs, and they ordered way before us. We arrived after them and sat at the bar. I questioned my waitress when she finally brought our food (there are a lot of tickets) and then got up and questioned their waitress (they are short staffed). The first time we came here, we had a long wait for our food. We chalked it up to them being new. The second time we came here, we had an extremely long wait again. We spoke with the manager this day. Pizzas kept getting mixed up and taken once they were cooked without waitresses paying attention to the tickets. Tonight was the third and final straw. The wait was absurd and ridiculous. The one thing all 3 visits have in common.....2 hour wait times AFTER the food was ordered. They clearly haven't changed their service level, but we can certainly change our choice of pizza dining. If you are completely free, not overly hungry (you will wait), and have plenty of time to spare (LIKE HOURS), then this is the place for you. If you want to go to a restaurant, sit down and order a meal which is served in a decent time, then pick another pizza place. There are plenty in town."

"Funky stop, decorated in an automotive theme i think because they are located around some car repair shops. Awesome! Ordered a large pizza half/half, and a 1/2 order of pretzels...way to much for two people. Worth the detour from I10 if traveling through."

"First time here and let me just say… WOW! The big Herbie Transformer statue caught our eye at first and we had to stop and take a picture of course then we took one look around and thought this place was going to be good. When you walk in the atmosphere is welcoming and chill. Our server Noah was amazing, made sure we were taken care of, cracked some jokes and just overall made the experience better than it already was! We got the pretzel bites with beer cheese, spicy and regular and both tasted so good! We ordered a medium Mighty Meaty and the slices were so big me and my husband had one each then took the rest home. The food is delicious and by far our favorite pizza that we’ve eaten from anywhere. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We will be back!"
