"Not a place for a large gathering - we booked their private room and the service was slow. Most everyone said their food was good. My steak was pretty bland - maybe because I had to order gluten-free? They were very good about providing gluten-free options, although there is a risk of cross-contamination. A few in the party had eaten there individually and said that it was outstanding then."

"Slowest service ever, It took an hour and 42 minutes to get our food. They brought my food 10 minutes before my wife got hers. I saw people come in 15 and 30 minutes after us get their food before us. Either the owner or chef came out to talk to another customer, who then got his food very quickly. I only got my food after they told us 4 times they were about to plate our food, and I asked to pay for our drinks and leave. Despite taking so long the staff has ample time to chat with other customers... a lot. I ordered a $55 dollar steak that was 2 chunks of meat and a plate of barely warm fries. The bernaise sauce the menu listed was not there. The steak was warm, tasted good but was very "chewy". By the time my wife got her food she was to upset to eat. Avoid Franks"

"I had a terrible birthday lunch here! It took 2 hours to get our food, during lunch when the restaurant really wasn’t very busy. My mom had a hair come in her food, they took the plate and didn’t offer to bring her anything else or come back so that we could order again so I shared my meal with her. I asked if they could do something for my birthday like put a candle on my dessert and they said no. She said they don’t do birthdays, whatever that means. Our server was not attentive but was nice while the manager was just rude! Overall, the food was just OK. My steak was good, but everything else was pretty bland and over priced. All of the vegetables were undercooked and too hard to eat. We really enjoyed the jazz band, I wish they could’ve played a happy birthday tune or something! The ticket that we received before we put our cards down, was less than what they charged us for… when I asked the manager about that, he offered to fix it, but we had been waiting too long and had to leave. We won’t be coming back!"

"The service that we received at this restaurant was stellar! I cannot recall the gentleman’s name but he’s from Ethiopia (I hope management recognizes his perfect service). He was timely, knowledgeable, and hospitable. We really enjoyed the entire encounter. We ordered the blackened crab cakes (note these are fried on the outside), the seafood crepes, shrimp and grits, fried seafood platter, pasta, and shrimp etouffee. I have no complaints about the food. All of it was savory. The ONLY reason I didn’t personally give my dish 5 starts is because “when” I go back I wouldn’t reorder the same dish. It tasted good but it wasn’t delicious and the texture of the crepe was a bit unexpected as it seemed to be a bit toasted. Im accustomed to a “soft savory crepe.” I definitely would return, i would just choose a different dish. Everyone else at the table said they would reorder their SAME dish as it was that good except the guest that had the pasta (she said it was good but she wouldn’t reorder it). I highly recommend this place for the food, service, location, and ambiance. (This picture is of my seafood crepes)"
