"It was my first time to the Texas Tea Room though I have been told about it before. It absolutely did not disappoint! The food was excellent especially if you like home style cooked food which I do. I got the chicken fried steak and it was wonderful and cooked perfectly. A lot of rich history inside with warm lighting. Overall it is a beautiful place. 10/10 highly recommend!"
"look, i’m not telling anyone how to live their life, but if you’re living it without at least one lunch at texas tea room, you’re doing it wrong. the food is outstanding, the service is warm, and you should save room for dessert. if i could give more than five stars, i surely would."
"I recommend this establishment! I took my beautiful bride of almost 25 years to sample the local fare at the recommendation of Lisa in the Driver's License office. As we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and an almost packed front room. We seated ourselves, as instructed. Our drink orders were taken almost immediately. It was chicken fried steak day! We both ordered the special, the chicken fried steak was served with white gravy; and was delicious. Crunchy and good flavor, the coating stuck. The gravy was tasty. The green beans had excellent flavor, but were overcooked. I thought the mashed potatoes were so-so, but I like lumps in my potatoes. I had three deserts. Red velvet cake, carmel cheesecake, and carrots cake. I was not a fan of the red velvet, however the other two were excellent. We will be back."
