Mt. Hood Pet Medical

"I'm really happy with Mt. Hood Pet Medical. They run a very professional office. We love our vet, Dr. Wheeler. She is so caring and competent. She is a wonderful vet. She never acts like she's in a hurry. She explains our cat's medical conditions in understandable terms and is a total animal and people person. I formerly went to a different vet practice. I am so glad we switched! The former vet humiliated me multiple times because I didn't bring my pets in to be seen prior to when we brought them in. That is not the case at all with Mt. Hood Pet Medical and Dr. Wheeler. I really can't say enough nice things about Dr. Wheeler and the staff at Mt. Hood Pet Medical. I am just so happy we brought our little shelter cat here when we first got him. I trust Dr. Wheeler with her professional judgment. You can tell that everyone who works in this office loves animals. Everyone here is so flipping nice! I only wish I switched to coming here sooner. Another thing is that they have great hours and a good location. However, I would bring our cat here even if the location wasn't great. I actually drive our cat from Gateway where my adult special needs son lives with his kitty, although I live in Gresham. Additionally, Dr. Wheeler is so great with my special needs son! She seems to genuinely enjoy him and his sense of humor. I find it very touching."

"We were sad that Dr. Wheeler was leaving since we’ve been seeing her since my GSD could fit in my hand, but Dr. Ferguson made the transition to a new Doctor easy and my dog loved her. Her and the other staff always make us feel welcomed and helps relieve any anxiety me and my dog have. Thank you so much! Love you guys!"

"Amazing service! I brought my sick senior dog in because this was the only place I could get her seen same day. We unfortunately had to euthanize her. The staff were very loving and caring during this process. We had unlimited time to say goodbye to our dear sweet Harper. The end of life services were beautiful. The whole staff were amazing, from the front desk to when we picked up our urn. Thank you for helping us through one of the toughest times."

"What a wonderful experience I encountered today on our first visit. The front desk greeted me and my dog Franklin with a welcome and a smile. We quickly went to the exam room where the vet tech was so sweet with my nervous 3yr. old Lhasa Apso. The vet was thorough and kind to Franklin, I think he liked her as much as I did. Back to the front and a warm goodbye from the front desk. Franklin and I definitely think they deserve five stars!"

"I had to make an unexpected visit to Mt. Hood Pet Medical when my dog became very ill during our vacation in Oregon. This was the only local vet willing to squeeze us in so that my dog could receive timely care. The receptionists were kind and professional and Dr. Ferguson provided outstanding care for our pet. She was kind and compassionate and explained every step she took, providing clear estimates for each care plan as we proceeded with treatment. My sweet dog regained her zest and was back on her feet within a couple of days. I am so thankful for the excellent care we received from the doctors and staff."
