"I think one of the hardest transitions I've ever experienced was from working to retired. Job is insurance is a breeze! Medicare and Supplement or Advantage plans, which to take, and if you go Supplement then you need Gap insurance, prescription insurance, and a dental, vision, hearing plan as well, or at least consider them. The government doesn't make it easy to figure out and I needed help. I found the Insurance Lounge office in the Cedar Mill Center and popped in one day to see what I could find out. They referred me to Jan Frost, their Medicare specialist. Jan was amazing and helped me navigate all of my questions and concerns, and she pointed out some additional items that I needed to consider specific to my medical history and situation. You see all these ads on TV about Advantage plans, but Jan walked me through all of the scenarios and low and behold, the Supplement option was by far the best way for me to go considering my medical past and needs. I might have gone down the wrong path without Jan's help. She really helped me relax and know that we had made the right decisions. My wife has not yet reached Medicare age, and I still have 2 teenagers, so without work insurance anymore, I needed coverage for them as well. Jan referred me to another family specialist at the Insurance Lounge and we sorted through all of the wife and kids needs and settled on a great plan for the 3 of them as well. I would highly recommend giving the Insurance Lounge the opportunity to help you with your personal insurance needs. There was no pressure to buy this plan or that plan. They were there to survey the available marketplace of insurers and help us select the plan that best suited our needs! Amazing! The Insurance Lounge and Jan Frost gave me back a solid night's sleep! They have access to a wide range of insurers across the country and can find you the best price instead giving up all of your info to get quotes over and over again. They'll also give you advice and answer those basic questions (the ones you should probably already know the answer to at this point in your life) without feeling like they're talking down to you.
