"Can't not recommend this place enough. The two fossils shuffling around and working here seemed a bit hostile to try to help with anything. There was another younger guy there. I think he worked there? He just stared at us blankly while slowly putting things away here and there. I asked if the snow chains we purchased could be returned if they were unused and we had the receipt. The two employees immediately got bent out of shape with how people -- in Hillsboro, OR where it almost never snows much less invoking a need for drivers to use chains in the area -- would return snow chains causing havoc. They were too understaffed to handle the onslaught of customers demanding their snow chains get returned. I got the impression they are just REALLY lazy and can't quickly look over a bag of clearly unopened, new snow chains. Their website has a list of products they don't allow returns for, and what do you know? Snow chains aren't even listed on there."

"Came in to check on price of a car battery. Manager was right on it and made me a deal. He even came out in the rain to install it. I will definitely be doing all my car parts business here. Highly recommended."

"I bought a starter just a few months ago which now occasionally does not start. It is very obvious from the sound that it is just the starter not properly engaging maybe 5% of the time. The employee at this store insisted on testing my starter with their starter tester, which obviously showed that my starter was working because my problem is only intermittent. She also had no idea what she was talking about mechanically, which would be fine if she didn't try acting like she knew what she was doing and that I was wrong. After talking to the manager, he said that there is no way that they could warranty the starter if their starter tester does not show that it is bad. I explained the details of the mechanical situation and how the starter likely failed, but because of their strict adherence to their made-up policy, they were unwilling to honor their lifetime warranty on carquest parts. They were also unwilling to process the warranty unless I brought in the old starter first, which is obviously difficult because it is currently on my car. Every other advance that I've been to has been able to sell me the new one at the price of the old one and then just refund the old one when I bring it in. This manager made it sound like that was a completely novel idea. Their adherence to their ridiculous policies is extraordinarily frustrating and not the experience I expect to have at Advance. After this, I went to the one just down the street and they were able to process my warranty with absolutely no issues and were even confused by the stubbornness of this location and their insistence on testing. I've also had to warranty other parts at advanced stores before, and while other stores have wanted to test, they have never really insisted on the part failing the test. They just want to help you diagnose the problem, but if you insist and explain exactly what the problem is they are usually willing to warranty the part. I'm never coming to this store again and this almost makes me want to swear off advance Auto parts in general, which I would if not for the positive experiences that I've had at the other store down the street and in other locations."

"I moved to the area about a year ago. When I had problems with my car I would always come to this location because one of the workers named Joey would always tend too me. This worker would always smiled and brung vibrancy throughout the place. He was always straight forward and told the truth. When I entered the store A day ago I didn't see Joey there. when I asked one of the workers about him I heard that he was let go. When I got in contact with Joey he told me what happened. His manager Donnie fired Joey because Joey went out of his way to save a persons life by rushing them too a hospital. Joey said he explained the reasoning of why he had too be absent from work and still got fired. The manager Donnie needs too stop being lazy and be accountable for his actions and fired"

"I need help in testing my alternator i brought in. The Manager Donnie was completely rude to me saying he could not help me. I told him there was only 1 other customer in the store acting like the store was busy and crowded with lots of customers that he could not help me. The store was empty and free with lots of time to spare. There ware 5 staff standing around doing nothing. None of the staff did not know how to use the alternator machine. Poor customer service on the management part. If you do not have the knowledge of autotive skill back ground DIY- I dont recommend this store for now until they get some new staff who knows and knowledgeble to run this store well with using the equipment correctly and properly to help the customer get there needs met. I felt discriminated by the manager for being the opposite gender thinking i dont know anything about automotive skills. Women can work on vehicles just as good as men depending who you are vice- versa. Both genders can be a great team to get the job done separately and together."
