"Love the Thai’d Up tofu here! It’s the only Esan that has the options! Such a creative concept! If you like Thai flavors & wanna try something interesting, go for your favorite flavor of Thai’d Up (tofu or wings). The drink containers for the Thai Tea/Coffee are also unique. Come to this Esan cart for a tasty meal with a couple creative twists."

"This is my first time ordering from Esan Eastport. For 4 adults we had: pad Thai, pad kee mao, pad prik khing with beef, a curry and soup. Taste - each entrée we ordered was delicious, sauce was balanced, spice was just right, and rice was cooked perfectly. Portions - enough for 2 adults to share Food - tasted fresh and flavorful. The beef from pad prik khing was tender and perfectly sautéed. Temperature - we got takeout and it was still hot when we got home Price - fair for the quality and portion Overall it was delicious and satisfying. Four adults couldn’t finish the portions that was given. This will be the only Thai food cart I will be ordering from, looking forward to being a regular customer. Thank you to the hard working owners!"

"YUM YUM YUM! They have the best pad see ew I’ve had in south east and I’ve been to a lot of places. The sauce is dark and rich. All the vegetables were well cooked and very fresh. I got spice level 3 and it was great just enough to make my lips a little warm but not over whelming for those who want some spice. I also added carrots and bell pepper. Great portion size, I could only make it through half even though I thought I’d be able to finish it all it was so good. I can’t wait to bring my husband here!"

"We moved to Portland during the height of 2020 lockdowns, and therefore a lot of food options were limited upon our arrival. This truck is walking distance from our house, so it was an early discovery, and became an immediate favorite. We don't actually eat out very often, and prefer to cook at home whenever feasible, but for some cultural/regional cuisines I prefer to leave the work to the experts! The pumpkin curry is nothing short of addictive, and even though all of their menu items are spectacular, a year later, this dish remains a weekly tradition for a date-night-in at home. The owners are also super friendly, which made us feel very welcome and at home when we were still new in the neighborhood. It's also worth mentioning that my fiance likes his food hotter than hot. Weeping softly in the bathroom the next morning, hot. "Hello darkness my old friend" hot. After several visits of him ordering a level 5, they offered him a customized "Regret Life" heat level, which at this point has become a running joke and an experiment to see what level of pain will actually make him "Regret" eating it. So far, there's nothing that could ever make us sorry we got our dinner here. This is now the standard we hold all of our other meals to, and it's why we keep going back week after week. That, and because our dog knows the drill and tries to lead us there every time we leave the house for a walk. :)"
