"It is one of the very few places that offers vegetarian street tacos. I enjoy the store, the menu is very nice. I enjoy the breads at the bakery and the fresh cactus."

"A fun little neighborhood market and restaurant in St. Johns. It's a good place to grab some quick eats, Hispanic groceries, meats, desserts, pane dolce, or household and cooking supplies. Oh, and 100s of colorful piñatas to choose from! I usually pop in to grab a burrito, but today, I went for a combo plate with my friend. Chili rellenos are not noted on the menu, but they do have them. Just a smidge disappointed as my chili relleno was not hot, so the cheese was not melty as it should be. There was no sauce served with it either. I made up for it with their yummy green salsa. The chips were hot and delicious, as were the beans, rice, and corn tortillas. So, it's not a total fail. I did grab a few sweet treats on the way out. Something that does bother me is that there are no prices noted on the menu board, nor are there any paper/handheld menus. So dependent on the cashier, my bean burrito could be $5 or $9...it's irritating. 5 stars - market 3 stars - restaurant Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Great Mexican food in the restaurant, quietly tucked in the back of the market. The market has a great selection of authentic Mexican food and products. They even have a meat deli, fresh donuts/sweets, and produce. Stumbled across this place years ago, and I’ve been coming here ever since. Being inside here feels identical to a shop in Mexico."

"This place is amazing! The menudo is fantastic, and so is the barbacoa. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything in the place because everything we had was really top quality. It's like you walked through the front door of the tienda, and by the time you get to the restaurant portion in the back, it feels like you're actually in Mexico."

"I just moved to Portland from San Diego and I was looking for a Mexican market in Portland to buy items for my Día de Los Muertos altar. I got some spices and Mexican made clay mugs, chocolate Ibarra and pan dulce. They also had sugar skulls and other festive items. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a Mexican food shop in the back so I got a bean and cheese burrito with avocado. It’s definitely not up to San Diego Mexican food but it is still tasty and I like supporting my fellow gente and small business. I will be back for some champurrado and other yummy treats."
