"Absolutely horrific bedside manner. My insurance recommended this medical group. I contacted them back on March 16th of 2021 to book an appt. I was given a day in May but when asked what my appt was for, I replied it was for a yearly exam and was then told she books 90days out for exams and they would not see me until June 10th. As a Cancer survivor having issues I wanted to meet with a woman not a male. For the last several years male gyno have not been sensitive to my issue and I wanted a better medical support team. I was asked to arrive 15min early and to download and pre fill out a medical form that was 6 pages long front and back. I showed up to my appointment and when I went to check in was told that she wasn't going to come into the office that afternoon . I explained I did not live locally and just drove 45min from Sonoma County and waited 3 mos for this appt. Why didn't anyone call to cancel it earlier if she was called out of the office for the afternoon?? Rude and unprofessional and I had not even meet the Dr this was her support team. The receptionist just apologized and pushed the appt card under the plastic shield. She didn't even ask or make an attempt to find out if the other female obgyn was available. I was being made to return the following Tues afternoon. On Tuesday I returned for my appt and again showed up early. I had to resubmit paperwork and waited to be called. When I was taking back I was weight and then asked questions. In speaking with the RN she informed me I was NOT seeing the female OBGYN Amanda Holthouse that they were squeezing me in with a male Dr I specifically stated I didn't want to see. She then told me she was sorry and walked me back to the front. Once there I was told that while the Obgyn was there now...she was on call for appt and didn't want to make the exception to see me as "she might get called". I asked if she was there and told yes. It made no sense why she was seeing another patient who walked in 5 min after me yet couldn't spare the 20min appt to see me . Especially after I had been back and forth twice and both times the interaction with the office was poor . I was then told I could call and find oother appts with other female Dr not in their group. As a Cancer Survivor who can't bare children telling me about how she's on calling in case she has other women to see isn't the best way to help the situation. I would not only NOT RECOMMEND this medical group do to their poor performance in scheduling but its clear your missing a compassionate componet that's needed as a Dr. To me thats not only icky it just not forgivable."
