"Lived here 4 years. Pros: -Nice location, close to downtown Cedarburg. -Storage space provided, sizeable area with shelf and palette provided. Never saw any water leakage in foundation. Management and other tenants were honest and OK with occasional storage outside cages. -VERY safe neighborhood. -On-street overnight parking April-December makes sure your friends always have somewhere to park, and keeps driveway from getting too full (Never had to park far from my door) -Management VERY fair about repairs and security deposit. Replaced old AC with an awesome new one and got it in JUST before the horrible heat wave of summer '12. -Heating is free and works welll, no hot water issues, both are free. -Accessible amenities via Grafton and Fox Point as well as Cedarburg itself. Cons: -On-Site management was in transition quite a bit while I was there, but for the most part they were all accessible and capable. -Train comes by at night which can be disturbing to some, but after a few months we didn't notice it at all. -Driveway can be difficult to get up in winter, but very rarely was it not promptly plowed and salted, and management provides salt buckets and shovels at every door for emergencies. -One Coin-op (1.50/1.25) washer/dryer per 8-family building. Often had issues getting loads done. -Sometimes heating doesn't work correctly (Heat will be on even with Thermostat all the way down. May have just been our unit. Either way heating is free and it's usually shut off during warm seasons so it's not usually an issue) -Apartments lack for storage space and are small, but generally space is well utilized. Great for 2 people and maybe a third if you get along well. Overall: The pros considerably outweigh the cons, and the ~$600/mo rent with so much included is great for such an amazing location. Mostly friendly, middle class families, virtually no crime, ethnically like 98% Caucasian, great town for walking or biking around, and no amenity is more than 10 minutes away. We ended up growing to hate living in our apartment here, but only because we had outgrown the size of it, and we had considerable remodeling needed in our unit, but we dragged our heels with informing management. The times we did contact them and follow up, our problems were addressed quickly. I would recommend this place if you want a low cost rental in an excellent, safe neighborhood and don't mind the lack of storage space. Update: Received a threatening letter from Lenox Place Apts that wasn't actually signed by anybody, threatening to give us a bad landlord review because apparently we had some outstanding electricity charges, a portion of which were from AFTER our lease ended, and the Apartment Management seemed to have no problem with us paying for that. While I now understand that It was our responsibility to call the power company (Our previous - and my first- landlord called the company for us to have our names removed the day our lease expired.), it still seems rather classless for them to not only expect us to pay for these power charges, but to threaten us if we did not. Also, I was badgered several times BEFORE our lease ended by Jack about some items we still had left in our unit, citing that he wanted to get people into the unit to start painting and doing maintenance - BEFORE our lease expired. Apparently he failed to understand that prepping the apartment for showing is no concern of his until our lease ended. This also came as a surprise since we had informed their maintenance man about the needed repairs (Including water damage and mold in the bathroom) almost a year prior to our lease ending, and they had done nothing to follow up with us, even after repeated attempts to contact the on-site manager about those issues, and the general inability to contact anybody off-site. However, once these issues were to become their immediate problem, they were very quick to get them addressed."
