"I was given a gift of one ride with Stillwater balloons by my last secret santa on Reddit. It was a great gift, but I have been up several times being that I used to be a student pilot myself. My wife however has not been up, so I gave the ticket to her. We went up on 9/17 and it was a beautiful evening. The winds were perfect (had to reschedule a few times, but that is ballooning, the weather has to be just right otherwise it is very unsafe), the trees hadn't yet started to turn but were close, and the temp was in the 70s. Steve, the pilot and owner of Stillwater Balloons, did a terrific job on a tricky flight when the winds died down to almost no wind at all. He took them over the St. Croix River, and even did a Splash n' Dash on the river. They came down on a road in a residential area that was not busy at all, and quickly packed up the balloon so as not to block any traffic. He gave champagne to those on the flight too at the end. My wife had a blast, even though she was initially very nervous about going up. I came along with the chase crew and was there to meet her when she touched down. It was a great time, with an amazing flight, great pilot, and professional crew. It is really hard to describe how beautiful and serene it is when you are up there, especially over the river. It is completely silent (other than when the burner goes) and just an experience that everyone should try once in their life, and Stillwater Balloons is a great place that is reasonably priced to try it out."

"On a perfect morning for flying, they cancelled. I imagine they did this because my wife and I are the only passengers and they deemed it not worth the expense. We drove 450 miles round trip for this experience. Needless to say, we are VERY disappointed!"

"What an amazing experience. We booked a private flight for our anniversary but due to weather we had to rebook 3 times. Still so worth it. Everybody was so friendly. Weather was amazing Beautiful views and wonderful pilot. Looking forward to doing it again! Just an fyi. Even if you're afraid of heights or get motion sickness like I do. It was still amazing. Today's weather was mid 60's. Did not need a jacket. Was plenty warm."

"Miracles are worth waiting for. Safety is so important to this family run business they will cancel rather than risk going up if weather conditions are good. Balloons have no steering wheel they are fully dependent on the wind taking you on a magical journey. If you don't have the patience and flexibility to reschedule, go ziplining.
