About the Business
Wargo Nature Center, located at 7701 Main Street in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, is a park and travel agency that also serves as a zoo. The center is part of the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes and is dedicated to educating visitors about the local wildlife and natural habitats. Visitors are asked to respect the wildlife and animal ambassadors that live on the premises, so pets are not allowed.
The center offers birthday party packages that include a 45-minute naturalist-led program on topics such as insects, wolves, birds, shelter building, and reptiles/amphibians. Parties are two hours long and can accommodate a maximum of 10 preschool participants or 15 grade school participants. The cost for a party is $125 plus tax.

"Staff was welcoming and very informative. They have a list of activities scheduled just as you walk in. Displays are very interesting with the touch screens. Canoe and kayak rentals and tours. Trails encircle the whole area, giving you a great variety of habitats."
"Quite a bit of space and some neat areas to climb around for smaller people. Try to visit the nature center when it's open - there's a lot to look at inside and they have helpful staff. This park feels like a lot of it is low land and bugs may be a little rough later in the summer."
"My son loved the toddler room, we can't wait to go back when the snow is gone to explore the outdoor play area! I would say the indoor area is mostly for toddler age, but older kids might be entertained enough also."
