"Absolutely miserable experience trying to get care. Edited to add upon seeing the practice's response: I did call back twice to find out why they wouldn't see my child and was told that they are full and to call the number on the back of my card to find other options. I am not calling back again."

"They screen new patients to find out if they’re worthy of treatment, it seems. Was told that they are scheduling far out initially, I said I’m okay with it. I received a voicemail saying they are refusing care to me due to volume of patients. It feels awful to not make the cut, essentially. Seems contradictory to offer care initially then to be denied later. UW Health needs to figure their stuff out, you would think they would be better run for such a well rated healthcare organization. Just don’t bother with them. Trying to get out of the system to a different to get the care I deserve."

"Dr. Erin Cheers is an amazing doctor that I got the privilege of having for a few year at this clinic. When she went on maternity leave I started with a new doctor. Recently, I called 2-3 separate times during a mental health crisis looking to speak with my doctor and address meds urgently and I was shushed away with an appointment time 2 1/2 months away. This among many other things is why I chose to seek out other help and ended up finding that Dr. Cheers is now working at a new facility! She promptly fit me in because she understood the urgency and now am on her regular schedule. Cheers to that! Don’t accept mediocre care, always advocate for your health!"

"I had to wait two months for a 20-minute appointment in which Dr. Bermont thoroughly disrespected me and failed to address any of my concerns. I later learned that intakes are supposed to take around 1 hour. If this kind of treatment is typical of UW Health psychiatrists, then they should be considered downright dangerous to people in need of mental health care."

"0 STARS! Do not go here. There are other clinics in UW Health psychiatric department. I have been grossly mistreated by multiple staff members there, in particular Dr. Stowe and the patient transfer coordinator Brenda. I have been a patient for over 5 years, they keep switching me to different doctors after the psychologists quit realizing what a terrible place this is. I was falsely accused of seeking drugs as I suffer from terribly anxiety and asked if there was any possible anti-anxieties I could try during my last meeting with Dr. Stowe. He denied me any further treatment, said I misuse my medication and to get back on the buproprion he placed me on even though I had 2 seizures on it and said he could no longer be my mental health provider as I am an out-of-state student. I have been an out-of-state student since starting at the clinic over 6 years ago and never once was this an issue. Dr. Stowe is an evil narcissistic man and will not listen to your complaints. Now I am being told he is the only provider I can see by the HORRIBLY RUDE patient transfer coordinator Brenda. That isn't what Dr. Stowe said so apparently they don't talk with one another at all. When I spoke to a lady at the clinic yesterday she told me I could see a different doctor there and how sorry she was for my experience and that someone would call me to make things right. Well of course that someone was Brenda and though yesterday she claimed I could not be treated because I go to school out of state (other lady said this was not an issue), now shes saying I can be a patient but only doctor available is Dr. Stowe. I refused to be treated like this. They know I am running low on prescriptions and desperately need to see a mental health professional and they just give you the run-around. They do NOT care. This is the final straw with this clinic, I am filing a formal complaint of misconduct with both UW patient relations (this is second time filing with them for this clinic after my last visit when I was falsely accused of seeking drugs in my patient history chart) as well as a formal complaint to the state through the Wisconsin Quality Assurance program. They cannot keep getting away with treating patients like this. Had I never been a previous patient, they would have set me up with a different doctor immediately. I know they are doing this to refuse me care again, which is illegal. Shady business practices here as well as gross medical misconduct. Do NOT go here if you need mental health assistance. These people are not kind and most visits my doctor would be over 20 minutes late yet I was charged full copay though half the time I paid for meeting was spent waiting on the negligent doctors. The state needs to shut this place down, I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn patients have committed suicide following care from this clinic."
