"My son, Alex, has been attending this school since he was 18 months old. He is now 4 and a half. We are even considering putting him in for kinder. They have nice early drop off and late pick up hours. They have a very low student to teacher ratio. My son gets a lot of one to one attention. They work on his weaknesses and sharpen his strengths, through empowerment. The bilingual program is great. They are very diligent with their teachings, and ensuring my son spends time learning about all core elements that prepare him for success in grade school and beyond. They do yoga, gardening and practice mindfulness. The teachers truly care about the students and want them to flourish. My son lights up when we talk about ALL of his teachers. When Alex was not in school for a few months, due to the pandemic, we noticed a rapid decline. They provided us learning material and we had zoom meetings. It wasn’t the same. As soon as we put him back in, it was night and day. This is the school you have to check out if you care about your child’s future scholastic success, and above all, want a well rounded human being."
"They are not wearing their masks ! They have them below their mouth on their chin , I can see them from my class I'm behind them . Beware that they are not following CDC guidelines ! If a doctor can wear their mask for 32 hour surgery's and longer , they can wear their masks while they are working with children . They also deleted my wife's comment trying to warn the public about how they are not wearing masks . Extremely unprofessional. Enforce ur workers to wear their masks at all times ."
"Great Montessori!"
"I hope this review helps everyone who is out there searching for options. I know this could have helped me back when I was taking a decision. I have been at this school for two years. I am grateful about my child's beautiful and smart personality, and I can see that in this school her individuality is respected, cherished and that she is growing both academically and as a person; so much so, that we are keeping her there for Kindergarten. One of my very good friends recommended this school. I immediately started reading up on Maria Montessori's philosophy and writings and, yes, they really are Montessori in every way: in the materials, in the way they address the child with respect and in how hands-on the learning experience is. Speaking of academic, my 5 year old started identifying letters and now reading in preschool, when in a school with a regular curriculum, she would have started in Kindergarten. She is also adding and subtracting (Montessori's material is really good when it comes to making children love math because they do not see it as work but as a discovery process where they are playing and learning). More than that, I can see how my 5 year old is able to concentrate on one task and finish it. It's amazing how focused she gets. She plays with something and when she is finished she puts it back in its place (oh, how much easier my life has become!) She is more and more independent. If she can't get something done the first time she tries, she says things like "I need to practice more, right, mom?" or "Can you teach me how to do this?" (instead of "you do it"). These are skills for life. There is also one aspect of Montessori's teaching that often goes unmentioned: grace and courtesy. There are specific lessons for this, but it is also something that is lived throughout the day. It is modeled and shown in the way the teachers (guides) address the child and in how they teach them to behave with each other, and how to manage conflicts. But I have to say that I have two favorite things: gardening and Mindful Fridays. They have a garden and they learn how to trim, water, know when the fruits/vegetables are ready for harvesting and to just really connect with their environment. In Mindful Fridays, they learn to calm themselves through breathing and to express how they are feeling. If my 5 year old is experiencing a difficult emotion, she actually PAUSES and starts counting and breathing. When she is ready, she can talk with calm about what she wants / is feeling (wow... I know!) They do stretches, yoga, etc. They also express themselves with art: each Friday they teach them different techniques and talk to them about an artist's life (Pollock, Van Gogh come to mind) and they do their own (guided) interpretation of the technique. What I know they like the most is: the teachers and the play area. It is kind of magical, with the trees, their shade, a lot of room to run around, a little house and play structure... There's no more to say but that we, as parents, are the best judges when it comes to our child's education. We need to notice and pay attention to how our kids are developing in a school by watching them when they are at home, because it shows; and that is the most important feedback we can get. (This came out longer than I thought it would be!)"
"My friend's two children attended this school, and seeing how much they loved it there and how awesome the teachers were, I decided to enroll my little one at 3.5 years of age. I am so glad I did!!! This school has been and continues to be such an incredible place for my little one. The teachers could not be more loving with the children...this place feels like an extended family! My daughter has learned so much over the years! Whenever I tell others the things she's working on in kindergarten, their minds are blown. Things that others are learning in much higher grades, she's learning at the age of 6! The best part is that my daughter is IN LOVE with school...she's so happy there that most of the time she's sad to go home at the end of the school day. Now that's a problem I don't mind having :) This is definitely a Montessori school I would highly recommend if you are seeking a loving environment for your child with the highest level of education."
