"Great dive shop in the East Bay. It's located across from Almanac Brewery in Alameda. Behind the shop is a manufacturing facility for submersibles! They do open water scuba certification classes under PADI and SDI. The pool training is in Alameda and ocean dives are in Monterey. They offer fun dives in Monterey once a month and Catalina trips a few times a year. I rent scuba gear here frequently and the rates are reasonable and they offer top-notch equipment. They even offer "rent before you buy" of high-end BCD's like the Scubapro Hydros and dive computers like the Shearwater Peregrine and Perdix. If you're looking to buy new scuba gear, ask to speak to instuctor Jim who will give you expert recommendations depending on your budget and the kind of diving you do. If you own your own gear, they can do servicing. Several of my dive buddies get their regulators and tanks serviced here. If you want to become scuba certified or if you're a diver, check them out!"
