"This is the home of a lumber baron and was built in 1850. It's only had 4 owners and has been maintained with what seems like almost all original decor/fixtures. The owners are fantastic. Easy to book with and plan arrival. My text inquiries were answered in a few minutes every time. Our room was in the carriage house. If you come by horse they still have the original hitching posts. Breakfast was 5 stars, and any food allergies or worries are happily managed."

"This was our second stay at the Carriage House. One can extrapolate from there that the first visit was pretty special, too! This visit had a twist, my BF tore an ACL, so we had to cancel tee times and take it easy. I could not remember from the last trip if we had access to a fridge/freezer. I emailed the ladies to inquire, and Grace replied promptly to say, "Yes, it is in the hall." I explained the situation and she offered to place a Ziploc baggie with ice in the freezer for our arrival! I was pleasantly surprised by this outstanding guest service. They really mean what they say about making sure that all of their guest's needs are fulfilled. I would say that that is adding a special touch of thoughtfulness to an otherwise wonderful stay. We absolutely love the Carriage House!"

"The bed was really comfortable and the gardens were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. It was easy to walk everywhere and not have to get back in the car while I was there."

"Absolutely stunning place to stay near downtown Winona. The breakfasts were delicious, healthy and filling and I loved the fact we had a fireplace in both our bedroom and the guest lounge/sunroom. This was our first-ever B&B experience and it really set the bar of service very high as the hosts were so accommodating, friendly and had all the details down to a T! We will definitely be back and recommend without hesitation :)"

"My daughters and I had an exceptional stay at Carriage House B&B. We were perfectly situated to be within walking distance of downtown, the Minnesota Conservancy for the Arts, and the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. The hostess prepared a lovely breakfast of cinnamon bread, quiche, sausage, and fruit. We were able to eat and mingle with other guests over breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable, and inviting. We weren't expecting a TV in the room so weren't bothered by not having one. There was a shared game and TV room for all guests."
