"Wish I could give zero stars. This hotel is not worthy of even one star. Sheets were dirty and when we asked for an extra set they refused. The a/c had the vents missing so just had a big open hole. Paint was chipped and the only thing in the bathroom was a bar of soap. The website says breakfast is included but they didn't have anything available. They also told us they had a strict '2 person per room policy" and said that visiting hours were only until 6 pm and they would be doing random room checks to make sure we only had 2 people. They threatened to kick us out with police if they found we had more."

"Dirty, gross, old, rundown, and scary! Go elsewhere! . I stayed at the Roadway Inn for business. . Pros: . - Polite front desk attendant. . Cons: . - The Rodeway is an old hotel. Just pulling up to the front entrance, one can tell that it is desperate need of maintenance. - My room was very dirty. Multiple surfaces were covered with dust. - The floor had numerous stains. - A large chair is the room had gross stains near where someone would put their head and where one's croch would be when seated - disgusting! - The table had what I guess were paint stains on it. - The door peep hole was broken and had tissue or toilet paper stuffed in the hole. - Here's the kicker - I woke at 4:34 am to some loud banging going somewhere above me. It sounded to me like an altercation, of some sort. As it continued for a while, I tried to look out the peep hole, but again, it was broken and stuffed with toilet paper or tissue. The nose subdued somewhat, but I never did get back to sleep. - No gym. - No breakfast of any sort. - The attendant is behind counter to cieling plexiglass. That should have been a warning.... . In the end, I was scheduled to stay five nights. I signed out and left after one. My organization moved me to another hotel. It is exponentially better! . When I stay in a hotel, I want to feel safe and get a good night's rest. I didn't feel safe here, and I didn't think it was sanitary. With the banging and what I felt were unsanitary conditions, it did not meet either of those requirements. . I really don't recommend staying at the Rodeway Inn."

"I wish I took some pictures but I was so ready to get out of that room I didn't think of it. I stayed one night with a friend in a first floor accessible room. Fortunately my mobility problems don't require a wheel chair because I would never be able to fit a wheel chair past the bathroom. I admit the bathroom was large enough but it had its own slew of issues. The room itself had barely been cleaned. There were stains on the comforter, lampshades, chairs, and even ceiling. There were stains on the carpet as well. The ac unit worked but the plastic was broken apart and it blew into the curtains. The bathroom was disgusting. The last guest never flushed so it smelled like old piss and the shower had stains. I couldn't tell for sure without getting too close but it kinda looked like there was mold in the grout. There were multiple flies in the room that pestered us throughout the night. Fortunately, I didn't see any other bugs. The night staff (we checked in late because of travel reasons) were a bit disorganized but otherwise fine. There was a group of drunkards loudly partying right outside our window which was just what I wanted to hear while trying to sleep after a long day of driving. Also I saw another review talking about the ac units in the lobby and can confirm they're still there. As well as the rest of the lobby is taped off and torn to shreds."

"Dirty. Comforter has a cigarette hole. Hallways reeked of smoking. People were smoking in entrances with doors open. Hotel desk person rude. Air conditioners in lobby. Parking lot dirty with trash. For 90 bucks a night this place is disaster. Worst hotel stay in years and I have stayed at some simple hotels. Added picture of air conditioners in lobby comple with yelllow tape. Should have taken more pocs. Complained to Choice hotels and they were as bad. Not impressed with choice hotels customer service and I cannot believe they allow this hotel in their group."

"Pleasantly surprised by the staff cordiality, very professional. The housekeeping seemed also on top of their job. The room was clean and sheets felt fine. Bathroom clean. Not sure about all these intense reviews. There was a few loud closing of doors and some self centered loud people at night at one point but otherwise quiet and simple. I didn't feel good paying $100 per night but it's the cheapest I found. The area seems OK, but definitely characters up on the hill at the Red Roof and an occasional unseemly fellow at the front. But nothing egregious. Worth staying a few nights but I wouldn't stay extensively. The spot is a good location if you're wanting something close to Madison downtown. The pricing anywhere else is outrageous."
