"I booked a King Suite for 2 people. Room is above the office. The room is slightly outdated as well as some of the equipment in the room. However, it was really clean and spacious. The AC in the room worked fine for the 90 degree weather of Davis and it takes maybe 10-15 minutes to make the room cold with the setting on low cool. Location is very nice in downtown, close to all the restaurants and campus of UCD, very walkable. Breakfast was very simple, didn't get much out of it. Coffee, juice, cereal, cheap danish and bagels. Tv quality was grainy, but I got by. Would come back again when I visit Davis again."
"Good value. Rooms are spacious and practical. A fridge and iron too is provided with in room coffee and tea. No safe in room though. Rooms are being renovated in phases currently and that should take care of the old carpeting. Location is super, very central and lots of restaurants in the vicinity."
"Location is great. Right in downtown Davis. Rooms were lacking. Drawers fell out of the dresser. Lots of small bugs crawling on the bathroom sink and counter. Lots of stains in the carpets. Broken electrical outlet and switch covers. The list goes on, but it's cheap and you get what you pay for."
"Within 10 minutes of entering our room, we killed four cockroaches. One was so big, we had trouble flushing it down the toilet. There were many more outside the room, and I'm sure there were more that we didn't see in the room. If I weren't so tired, I probably would have tried to find another place to stay the night. It also smelled funky. It's now 12:33 am. I hope I make it through the night."
"The front desk clerk was most helpful in everything I requested, from printing my boarding pass to helping me find a great place to eat. The motel is older and you do get what you pay for. The continental breakfast was carb heavy but it was FREE I say stay here if you need a room for the night. I even talked to a couple of people that are staying there from a couple of weeks to a few months. Great deal for the location. I dare you to find a place in Davis that is this inexpensive and that does not have drug addicts wandering around the parking lot!"
