"Can’t blame the store for rising prices but this establishment is always understocked, dirty, and disorganized. For some reason, the manager does not utilize personnel very efficiently (e.g. some employees are still pulling inventory off shelves for folks who don’t want to do their own shopping, WHILE lines are long at the registers). I try not to shop here too often but it is the only grocery store in Monona."

"Every since this store became metro market the food has been less than fresh. This is the third time i’ve purchased a bag of cheese or block of cheese that is molded which cannot be detected from the outside of the package i am very upset. This cheese was included in a deli platter i just purchased and it was turned face down with the mold not showing."

"I enjoy going to this particular location, but now realize after my experience a few hours ago that I should have made the extra effort to drive to Woodman's. Even though this store is open until 11 PM, there were NO open checkout lanes. I had $200 worth of groceries and was NOT happy trying to manage pricing and bagging all of it and ESPECIALLY when there were two checkers monitoring everything there; would have been easier to just open up a lane, but no... At least four times I had someone summoned to my checkout because of some ridiculous issue and then a final fifth visit after a long wait because of an alcohol purchase. Absolutely ludicrous."

"Legit a shame that, while this fits a grocery void, Metro/Kroger doesn't see the need to open more than 2 lanes and 6 self checkouts on a Monday rush leading to lines that go halfway or longer down an aisle meanwhile nobody is at customer service to help those with 5 or less items. Just ridiculous."

"1 cashier on the entire store on a Saturday, I think his name was Lucas. Great kid, clearly a teenager, was positive in the face of a ton of tired people. I went over to the self checkout and asked that cashier if he could get any help, and she said they didn't have anyone. And I said "really? Because there's a cashier right here that's been talking to you the whole time. Just standing here." And she shrugged. So good job Lucas. And hey, remember when all the Kroger brand frozen potatoes were less than $2 a bag, and then last year they all doubled in price for no reason? Remember that fruit or vegetable you got and the price was curiously higher than you thought? Remember how every Kroger has a full aisle case of shrimp products that no one ever buys because it's way too high in price, you think there's 4-year old shrimp in there? The price gouging is so blatant because Kroger doesn't face any consequences for it. Maybe one day the employees will grow one vertebra and just leave, it's not like they make any money there."
